Quantum fields, boundaries and singularities in curved spacetime
My research lies at the interface of perturbative algebraic quantum field theory (pAQFT), microlocal analysis, and mathematical physics. I study how geometry, boundary conditions, and interactions shape the construction of quantum states, observables, and renormalization in curved spacetime quantum field theory.
Quantum fields with boundaries
I construct physically relevant states for quantum fields on globally hyperbolic spacetimes with timelike boundaries, with particular emphasis on Robin boundary conditions, Hadamard states, and boundary-induced quantum effects.
Renormalization in pAQFT
I study perturbative renormalization group flows within algebraic quantum field theory, focusing on Wetterich-type equations and their role in interacting and stochastic field theories.
Stochastic and Fermionic models
I combine microlocal and algebraic methods to investigate nonlinear stochastic partial differential equations, including perturbative approaches to stochastic fermionic systems such as the stochastic Thirring model.
My current research programme aims to develop a systematic framework for algebraic quantum field theory on spacetimes with timelike boundaries, clarifying how boundary conditions and geometric structures affect quantum states, singularities, and renormalization.
