BeatBack (Beatback Game) respects your privacy. This policy explains how the app handles information.

What We Store Locally on Your Device
All of the following data is stored only on your device and is not uploaded to our servers:
- Player names and scores
- Game history and basic statistics
- Your app preferences and settings
- Purchase status (unlock)
This data does not leave your device. If you delete the app, this data is deleted.

What We Collect
We do not collect or transmit personal data to our servers.
We do not:
- Require accounts or logins
- Track your usage or behavior with third‑party analytics
- Collect demographic data
- Sell or share your data with third parties
Note: Standard Apple system services (like App Store purchases, optional Apple diagnostics, or notification delivery) may still be used as described below.

Payments
When you purchase the full game unlock (€2,99), the transaction is handled by Apple through the App Store.
We receive only:
- Confirmation that a purchase occurred (via App Store/StoreKit)
- The product identifier of what was purchased
We never see or store:
- Payment information
- Credit card details
- Billing address
- Apple ID
- Any other personal information tied to your payment method
All payment processing is subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Spotify Integration
BeatBack uses Spotify to play songs during gameplay.
How it works:
- We use Spotify deep links (spotify:track:xxxxx)
- This opens the Spotify app on your device
- BeatBack does not ask you to log in to Spotify inside BeatBack
- BeatBack does not access your Spotify account
- BeatBack does not read your listening history
- BeatBack does not receive data back from Spotify
Spotify’s handling of your data is governed by Spotify’s Privacy Policy.

Notifications (Optional)
BeatBack can use notifications to make sure the round timer can still alert you when Spotify is open.
We use notifications only for:
- Game timer “time’s up” alerts
No spam. No marketing. No promotional notifications.
You can enable/disable notifications anytime in iOS Settings.

AI Trivia (Optional)
On supported Apple Intelligence devices (availability varies by device, language, and region), BeatBack can generate AI trivia.
How it works:
- Runs entirely on your device using Apple’s on-device AI capabilities (Apple Intelligence / Foundation Models)
- No trivia prompts or song metadata are sent to external servers by BeatBack
- Can be enabled/disabled in BeatBack Settings
Important:
- If “AI Trivia” is turned OFF, BeatBack does not generate AI trivia.

Crash Reports (Optional)
If you have enabled “Share iPhone Analytics” in iOS Settings, anonymous crash reports may be sent to Apple and made available to us through Apple’s developer tools.
These reports may include:
- Technical device information
- App crash logs
- Performance/diagnostic details
They are provided by Apple and are not used by BeatBack to identify you.
You can disable this anytime in:
iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements

Children’s Privacy
BeatBack does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require accounts or personal information to use.

Data Security
Because we do not collect or transmit personal data to our own servers, your gameplay data stays on your device and is protected by your device’s security features.

- Delete the app = delete the local data
- No account to close
- No data export/request process required

Use of the App
BeatBack is licensed to you, not sold. You may:
- Install and use the app on your Apple devices
- Play games with friends and family
- Use all features included in the app (subject to free trial / purchase unlock)
You may not:
- Modify, reverse engineer, or decompile the app
- Remove or alter copyright notices
- Use the app for illegal purposes
- Attempt to circumvent the purchase system
- Redistribute, resell, or repackage the app

Spotify Requirement
BeatBack opens Spotify to play songs. To play rounds you need:
- Spotify installed on your device (Free or Premium)
Spotify may require you to be logged in to Spotify itself, depending on your Spotify account/device setup.
We are not affiliated with Spotify. Spotify issues should be directed to Spotify Support.

In‑App Purchases
BeatBack includes one optional in‑app purchase:
- Unlock Unlimited Games (€2,99) — one‑time purchase (not a subscription)
This purchase:
- Is processed through Apple’s App Store
- Is non‑refundable except as allowed by Apple’s refund policies
- Unlocks unlimited games (and any “unlimited/endless” style play included in the current build)
Purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on your devices.
Refund requests must be handled through Apple.

Free Trial
BeatBack includes a free trial:
- 3 complete games
- No time limit
After the trial is used, you must purchase the unlock to continue playing.

All BeatBack content (app design, code, graphics, UI text) is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and trademark laws.
Song metadata (titles, artists, years) is factual information and is not claimed as our property.
BeatBack name and logo are trademarks. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

Disclaimer of Warranties
BeatBack is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
We do not guarantee:
- The app will be error‑free or uninterrupted

- Complete accuracy of all song metadata

Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, profits, or interruption of use.
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app (€2,99 maximum).

Changes to Terms

Getting Started
Q: Do I need Spotify Premium?
A: No. BeatBack works with both Spotify Free and Premium. Premium typically provides full songs; Free may provide previews depending on Spotify’s current rules and your region/device.
Q: Do I need to create an account?
A: BeatBack does not require an account or login.
Q: How many free games do I get?
A: You get 3 complete games free. After that, unlock unlimited games for €2,99.

Gameplay
Q: How do I play (Classic)?
A:
1. Spin to reveal your challenge/category
2. Tap “Play Song” to open Spotify
3. Everyone writes their guess (pen & paper recommended)
4. Return to BeatBack to reveal the answer and score
5. Next round continues
Q: What are the different game modes?
A:
- Classic — Spin for categories and guess the details
- Decades Duel — One question every round: “What decade is this song from?”
- Soundtrack Party — One question every round: “What movie/TV is this song from?”
Q: How many songs are in the game?
A: The current build includes:
- 3,514 songs in the main library
- ~250 songs in the Soundtrack Party library
(Counts may change as we update the game.)
Q: Can I play solo?
A: Yes. BeatBack works as a solo “training” / practice game too.
Q: How do I track scores?
A: You can use the in‑app digital scoreboard (up to 10 players) or go “old school” with pen and paper.

Technical Issues
Q: The countdown doesn’t update while Spotify is open
A: The timer continues correctly while Spotify is open. When you return to BeatBack, it will show the correct remaining time and “time’s up” will still trigger.
Q: Songs won’t open in Spotify
A:
- Make sure Spotify is installed
- Make sure you’re logged in to Spotify (if Spotify requires it)
- Try reopening Spotify once, then retry
Q: The app crashes or freezes
A:
1. Force quit BeatBack and reopen
2. Restart your device
3. Update iOS
4. Reinstall the app (your purchase can be restored)
If problems persist, use the in‑app feedback form.
Q: I purchased the unlock but it’s not working
A:
1. Open BeatBack Settings
2. Tap “Restore Purchases” (if available)
3. Confirm you’re using the same Apple ID
4. Restart the app
If it still fails, contact us via the feedback form.

Privacy & AI
Q: What is AI Trivia?
A: On supported Apple Intelligence devices, you can enable AI trivia. It runs on-device and is optional. If AI Trivia is turned off, no AI trivia is generated.
