1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Beacon Circle ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Beacon Circle is a consensual location-sharing application that allows users to share their real-time GPS location with people they personally invite ("Circle Members"), receive arrival and departure notifications, monitor battery levels, and send emergency SOS alerts.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the App. You agree to:

Provide accurate and current information

Keep your login credentials confidential

Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction)

Be responsible for all activity under your account

4. Consent-Based Location Sharing

Beacon Circle is designed exclusively for mutual, consensual location sharing.

You may only share your location with people who have explicitly accepted your invitation

You may only view the location of people who have chosen to share it with you

You may pause or stop sharing your location at any time from within the App

You may leave any Circle at any time

You must not use Beacon Circle to track any individual without their full knowledge and ongoing consent.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the App to:

Track, surveil, or monitor any person without their explicit consent

Stalk, harass, intimidate, or harm any individual

Collect location data for commercial purposes without authorization

Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise the App or its servers

Create fake accounts or impersonate others

Use the App for any illegal purpose

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.

6. Subscription & Payments

The App currently offers a free tier. Paid subscription features will be introduced in a future update. The following terms will apply at that time:

6.1 Subscription Plans

Beacon Circle will offer auto-renewing subscription plans. Details including pricing, features, and billing periods will be disclosed at the time of purchase.

6.2 Free Trial

Where a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

6.3 Billing

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

6.4 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

6.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.

6.6 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices at any time. We will notify you in advance and your continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and trademarks within the App are the property of [YOUR_COMPANY]. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service

GPS accuracy depends on device hardware and environmental conditions

SOS alerts depend on network connectivity and cannot be guaranteed in all circumstances

We are not a substitute for emergency services — always call 911 in a life-threatening emergency

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, [YOUR_COMPANY] SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, PERSONAL INJURY, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from within the App settings.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of [YOUR STATE/COUNTRY], without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
