If you want a lightweight, rubber-based protector that adds a touch of national pride to your rig without adding bulk, choose Beabes Ireland Flag Trailer; if you need a heavy-duty, officially licensed display piece made from UV-resistant plastic for tailgating or camping, choose GRAPHICS & MORE University.
• Beabes Ireland Flag Trailer: Its biggest strength is the flexible, durable black rubber construction that resists deformation and fits tightly without tools; its trade-off is the smaller physical footprint and lack of official team licensing.
• GRAPHICS & MORE University: Its biggest strength is the robust ABS plastic build with a UV-resistant resin top designed to make a bold statement on the road; its trade-off is a slightly heavier profile and rigid material compared to rubber alternatives.
• Who it's for: The Beabes pick is ideal for owners who prioritize easy installation and protection against rust and debris in a compact form.
• Who it's for: The GRAPHICS & MORE pick is perfect for fans who want an officially licensed product that can withstand harsh weather while showing school spirit.
The Beabes Ireland Flag Trailer hitch cover is built for the owner who values practicality and subtle flair. Crafted from durable black rubber, this accessory is designed to fit tightly into a standard 2-inch receiver tube. The material choice is significant here; rubber offers a level of flexibility that prevents the plug from deforming or falling off easily, which is a common frustration with cheaper, brittle plastics. When you push this cover into your receiver, it creates a snug seal that effectively keeps rain, dust, snow, ice, and even small animals out of the tube. This protection is crucial for preventing the rust that often plagues trailer receivers left exposed to the elements during storage.
For the RV owner specifically, the weight and dimensions of this unit make it a smart choice. It does not add unnecessary drag or visual clutter. The design focuses on function first: keeping the metal clean and dry while offering a distinct look with the Irish flag motif. Because it requires no tools to install or remove, you can swap it out quickly if you are towing a trailer or need access to the receiver for a different setup. It is a "set it and forget it" solution for daily driving or occasional towing where you want to protect your investment without fuss.
However, this product is not for everyone. If you are looking for a large, glossy, or officially licensed collegiate emblem, this might feel too understated. The rubber construction, while durable, will not have the same rigid, polished look as hard plastic inserts. It is best suited for those who appreciate a rugged, utilitarian approach to vehicle accessories. If your primary goal is simply to stop water and dirt from entering your hitch tube and you want a quick, tool-free installation, this is a solid contender. But if you need something that screams "Texas Longhorns" with official branding, you should look elsewhere.

The GRAPHICS & MORE University Tow Trailer Hitch Cover is engineered for the fan who wants their vehicle to serve as a billboard for their loyalty. Constructed from heavy-duty black ABS plastic, this cover is built to last through years of exposure to sun, rain, and road grime. The standout feature here is the UV-resistant resin-topped design. This means the graphic itself won't fade or crack when parked outside for long periods, a common issue with lower-quality vinyl stickers applied to plastic. The square image measures 3 by 3 inches, providing a larger canvas for the University of Texas primary logo than many standard rubber plugs offer.
This product is explicitly marketed toward people who use their vehicles for camping, tailgating, and team outings. The ABS plastic gives it a rigid, premium feel that commands attention. Unlike the flexible rubber alternative, this insert holds its shape perfectly, ensuring the logo remains flat and crisp. The manufacturer emphasizes that it is officially licensed, which matters to collectors and serious fans who want authenticity in their gear. It serves as more than just a protective cap; it is a conversation starter that signals your allegiance wherever you park. The dimensions (3 x 4 x 3 inches) suggest a slightly larger profile, making it highly visible from behind.
While the durability is excellent, the rigid nature of ABS plastic means it relies entirely on a precise fit within the 2-inch receiver. There is no give like there is with rubber, so confirming your receiver size is critical before purchase. It is also slightly heavier and less flexible than the Beabes option. If you frequently change between towing and non-towing setups and need to remove the cover multiple times a day, the harder plastic might be less convenient than a soft rubber plug. However, for the owner who parks their RV or truck in one spot for weeks at a time and wants maximum visibility and protection against the sun, this heavy-duty construction is the superior choice.
• Best for Rust Prevention: Both options excel here, but the Beabes rubber creates a tighter, more flexible seal that may adapt better to minor imperfections in the receiver tube.
• Best for Sun Exposure: GRAPHICS & MORE takes the lead with its UV-resistant resin top, ensuring the logo stays vibrant longer than standard printed rubber.
• Best for Official Licensing: Only GRAPHICS & MORE offers officially licensed collegiate branding, making it the only choice for authentic team merchandise.
• Best for Tool-Free Swapping: The Beabes rubber cover is easier to push in and pull out due to its flexible material properties.
• Best for Visual Impact: The larger 3x3 inch graphic on the GRAPHICS & MORE model provides a bolder statement than the smaller Beabes design.
• Best for All-Weather Sealing: Both keep debris out, but the rubber composition of the Beabes cover may handle extreme temperature shifts without cracking.
• Best Value for Fans: GRAPHICS & MORE offers a premium, officially licensed product that doubles as a gift or fundraiser token.
After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would buy the GRAPHICS & MORE University cover for my own vehicle. As an RV owner, I spend a lot of time parked in open lots or at campsites where my truck is on full display. The UV-resistant resin and official licensing ensure that my school spirit looks sharp and professional even after months of sun exposure. While the Beabes option is great for simple protection, the durability and visual presence of the heavy-duty ABS plastic make it the better long-term investment for someone who wants their vehicle to reflect their identity clearly.
Both products are designed specifically for standard 2-inch by 2-inch trailer receiver tubes. However, you must confirm your receiver size before purchasing to ensure a perfect fit, as variations in manufacturing can occur.
The GRAPHICS & MORE University cover features a UV-resistant resin top designed to prevent fading, whereas the Beabes rubber cover uses a standard print that may degrade faster under intense sunlight over time.
Neither product requires tools. You simply push the cover directly into the receiver tube until it seats firmly. The Beabes version is slightly easier to remove due to its flexible rubber, while the GRAPHICS & MORE version is a tight, rigid fit.
