Mr. Kristopher Owens (Theatre Director) has written full-length adaptations of Romeo and Juliet, Frankenstein, Jekyll and Hyde, Peter Pan, The Little Shop of Horrors, Snow White, and the original plays Holy Scheidt, Six Characters in Search of a Fringe, Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-Latino, Twice Upon a Time, Jesus, Shakespeare, and Lincoln Walk into a Bar, and A Class Act. He also wrote the book and lyrics to the musical Variety, with music by Patrick McAlexander. He won an Encore Award for his work on Variety. Mr. Owens' play, Twelve Years a Slave, based on the memoir by Solomon Northup, received its premiere in Gainesville, Florida and has since been produced at the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival. His work has been seen in Indianapolis, Kansas City, Chicago, New York, and Edinburgh, Scotland. In addition to writing and directing, he has appeared on stage in dozens of productions having attended Ball State University on an Acting scholarship. He lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Amy (a former Rockette), their son August, and two dogs and a cat. He is currently working on his book, Worth More Dead. Mr. Mark Montgomery (Technical Director) has been doing technical Theatre since "the parting of the Red Sea". He has worked on numerous productions over the years and teaches technical Theatre class as well as managing the Theatre and auditorium.
Mrs. Angela Barnes (Assistant Theatre Director) has taught for over twenty years. She currently teaches Theatre and Etymology at the Ben Davis Ninth Grade Center. In addition to performing arts, she enjoys live music, yoga, running and being a competitive rower on the Indianapolis Rowing Center Masters Team. She is happily married and has a teenage daughter.
