Lara Elayyan
Biography
- Lara Elayyan is a Jordanian singer of Palestinian descent. She was born in Amman in 1983
Lara obtained bachelor of social studies from University of Jordan in 2005
She works as a social worker and projects coordinator in Jordanian women’s Union.
Her singing talent appeared since childhood,
While studying in university she joined the choral of JU and participated with choral concerts in and outside Jordan.
She had courses on Oud in Jordan academy of music since 2002 with the composer and musician Mr. Omar Abbad, and had several solo concerts with him.
Got scholar ship to study vocalism and Oud in the National Music Conservatory, and participated in numerous concerts with it.
Lara has participated in many solo singing concerts with different musicians and music groups, in Jordan Syria, Lebanon, Istanbul, Baku, Cyprus
She is a member of Sharq band which was established 2006 and Participated with them in Mugam festival in Baku-Azerbaijan, and got the bronze prize in singing.
Participated in festival of (Guardians Of Memory) with Al Hannouneh Society for Popular Culture, with attendance of the Lebanese poet Talal Haidar.
A member in Naya band (female band) which was established in 2011, participated with Naya in different concerts in Jordan, and in Youth music expo in Limassol- Cyprus
Lara concentrates on reviving Palestinian and Arabic traditional songs and music, and she sings for human being issues, and cares to combine between the beautiful literary text and high technical standard of performance.
She has her own songs e.g.
