Hani Mitwasi is a Jordanian singer and guitar player. He was born in Kuwait in 1983 where he was raised until six years of age. Then he moved to Amman/Jordan where he started pursuing his life's ambition of becoming a musician.

His first steps into the musical world were through guitar lessons. Spending most of his childhood listening and studying music allowed him to greatly develop his guitar playing skills.

He found himself favoring flamenco and Arabian style music and exploring them in depth.

His passion for both these sorts inspired him into creating his own distinguished 'franco-arab' style.

As a child, he would perform for family and friends during celebrations and holidays. In fact, his first performance was during the 'open day' of his school.

He was always greatly admired and appreciated by those who listened to him. This recognition from people around him further strengthened his determination to pursue a career in music.

Following graduation from school, Hani decided to further his learning by doing a BA in music science and therapy at the 'Jordan Academy of Music'. Meanwhile, he was further strengthening his learning by providing guitar and music lessons at different educational centers around Amman. More importantly, Hani was gaining a great deal of practical experience by performing at various well-known hotels and cafes. This allowed him to build up his skills in live performance.

His ability to interact with the audience through performing music gave way for his success as an artist.

Throughout the years, Hani has had a great influence on Arabian music. He started off by re-making ancient traditional songs in a modern and more approachable way.

The old classical songs deserted by the young generation today were once again popular by both the old and the young. Hani then went on to create his own songs which was equally admired and appreciated.

In 2010, Hani was recognized as the best Jordanian singer through receiving the 'Jordan Music Award'.
