Ahmed Eleraqy‘s a Capricorn, born on 1st of Jan 1989 in Iraq from an Egyptian father and Iraqi mother. Eraqy’s Learned Turkish and Iraqi folklore and won the first prize in singing for three years consecutively at the Arabian music festival, which was being annually held for Iraqi children. He moved to Egypt in 1995 with his family and he was called” the school singer”. When he joined the university he decided to create his unique musical style “ Ecato” that means music’s talks. He’s learned oriental music from some of professors as Dr/ Tarek Samir, Prof/ Rania Mokhtar , Dr/ Mohammed Mahmoud and musician / Mohammed abdel Ghani and he started participating in orchestras. Now he is studying in Cairo University at the House Science School. He won the first prize in singing in six different festivals held by Cairo University. In addition, in eight music-playing competitions he ranked as the first, and in other times the second, in guitar playing. He also made numerous concerts in some of Arabian countries as Algeria, Tunisia, Jordon and Syria, besides contributing in some of poets’ seminars and special singing ceremonies like divan Ahmed abdel Gawad “as if you are Egypt” or” k2nek masr”, divan Hala el Beshbeshy “woman’s pulses or nabadat emra2a” and divan Hossam Gwely “b3d el ana b rasol”. He was awarded by the minister of culture in 1999 on his performance in the song “ Al-Atlal” of Om Kolthom. He involved in theatre as a musician, singer and composer, in many plays such as "Akher el Mataf", "wasaa el tareeq","Helm agoz", "Ebn gahanam" and "Wgoh". He shared in short movies like "Sa'a ela robe' ", "Shee' Sahl", "welad el haram", "AM" and "el ebreya el saheha..!". Eraqy has been known for his unique music style and sense of words that made the audience brought into his line .
