Scoring
The same station may be contacted on CW, Digital and Phone on each band.
Rover stations may be contacted in each county, state, province, or country.
Contact Multiplier
· NJ Stations: add up contacted NJ Counties (21) + States (49 not NJ) + Canadian Provinces (13) + DX (1) for a maximum of 84x contact multiplier.
· Non-NJ Stations: count up contacted NJ Counties (21) for a maximum of 21x multiplier. Add total unique counties for contact multiplier.
Power Multiplier
· High power = 1x, Low power = 2x, QRP = 4x
Note the power multiplier is for the highest power used for any NJQP QSO. QRP station must be QRP at all times during the NJQP. Low Power must not be exceeded anytime during the event if claiming low power.
Final Score Calculation
· QSO score total = each contact will score two points if a valid CW / Digital contact OR one point if a valid phone contact. Add all of these together to get your QSO score total.
· Final Score = QSO score total X Contact Multiplier X Power Multiplier

Examples:
Non-NJ Station completed QSO with 9 NJ Counties. Low Power or less for all contacts. 13 Phone, 10 CW and 3 Digital contacts. Contact multiplier 9x. Power multiplier 2x.
QSO Score: (13 Phone x 1) + (10 CW x 2) + (3 Digital x 2) = 39 QSO Score.
Final Score: 39 x 9 (contact multiplier) x 2 (power multiplier) = 702 final score.
NJ Station completed QSO with 6 NJ Counties and 5 USA states, 2 in Canada and 1 DX. QRP for all contacts, 6 Phone, 5 CW and 4 Digital contacts. Contact multiplier 14x. Power multiplier 4x.
QSO Score: (6 Phone x 1) + (5 CW x 2) + (4 Digital x 2) = 24 QSO Score.
Final Score: 24 x 14 (contact multiplier) x 4 (power multiplier) = 1344 final score.
NJ Club Awards - 3 stations all located in NJ during transmissions in the contest score 1000 points each per the scoring rules above. All 3 operators are members of the same NJ club. Final club score = 3000 as long the club is an NJ club, has at least 3 logs submitted and at least 75 total contacts. (Only 1 club per operator may be submitted)
Awards
A plaque for the highest scoring station in SNJ (minimum 50 contacts).
A plaque for the highest scoring station in NNJ (minimum 50 contacts).
A plaque will be awarded to the highest scoring non-NJ station (minimum 25 contacts).
Certificates will be awarded to the highest scoring station in each NJ county, and in each state and province. Certificates will be sent via email.
Additional awards for significant achievement may be awarded at our discretion.
Logs
Only electronic Cabrillo logs will be accepted. All logs must be emailed to njqp@comcast.net
by October 1.
Paper logs may be converted to Cabrillo format using the NJQP application on www.b4h.net/cabforms website.

A summary sheet (see website) must be submitted in addition to the Cabrillo file.
