Brain & Cognitive Engineering Lab

The Brain & Cognitive Engineering Lab at Pusan National University investigates the computational and neural mechanisms underlying human cognition, decision-making, and mental health. Our work integrates neuroimaging, EEG, behavioral data, and computational modeling to support evidence-based diagnosis and digital interventions for psychiatric and behavioral disorders.

We conduct an NRF-funded project (2022–2027) on the cognitive and neural basis of food addiction. The lab collaborates closely with clinicians at Pusan National University Hospital and other medical centers, and conducts clinical studies such as the neuroimaging study on dementia/mild cognitive impairment, the digital therapeutics for ADHD childerens, digital healthcare tools using EEG and wearable devices, and etc.

뇌인지공학 연구실 소개

부산대학교 의생명융합공학부 뇌인지공학 연구실은 인간의 인지·의사결정·정신건강 문제를 정량적으로 이해하기 위해 계산모델, 뇌영상·뇌파, 행동 데이터, 임상 자료를 통합적으로 분석합니다. 이를 기반으로 정신질환 및 이상행동의 진단·중재를 위한 디지털 헬스케어 기술을 개발합니다. 

현재는 한국연구재단 중견연구로 "음식 중독(food addiction)의 인지/신경 기저 메커니즘"을 탐구하는 프로젝트(2022~2027년)를 진행 중입니다. 그 외에 부산대학교병원 교수님을 비롯한 공동연구자들과 다양한 임상 뇌과학/뇌공학 연구를 하고 있습니다. 대표적으로 치매 및 인지장애 환자의 MRI 뇌영상 분석, 소아 ADHD 환자를 위한 디지털치료제 연구 등이 진행 중이며, 뇌파 헤드셋 및 웨어러블 기기를 활용한 디지털 헬스케어 연구 등을 추진 중입니다.
