Wendy is a renowned Cape Breton fiddler who has been honing her craft for over 30 years. She has a deep respect for it the “old school” style of playing, and is widely recognized as one who has kept the traditional sound alive and flourishing.
Wendy has 7 albums to her credit, the latest a 2015 solo album for which she won an East Coast Music Award. She has also been a guest on most of Mary Jane Lamond’s solo albums as well as many other albums from Nova Scotia musicians. The album Seinn she recorded with Mary Jane Lamond won an East Coast Music, Music Nova Scotia, and Canadian Folk Award in 2013.

Starting with a few humble steps, Mac has been able to travel professionally as a Cape Breton step dancer and piano player for the last 20 years. A member of the group Beolach, Mac also tours regularly with Natalie MacMaster and is sought after as a teacher both at home and internationally.
