Claudia Schmidt and Sally Rogers have each built solo careers that would be the envy of any touring folk artist these days. Having either one of these gifted, brilliant women grace our little stage would be a thrill, but having them both at the same time is a special treat indeed! They are skilled and powerful interpreters of the folk music canon, as well as superb songcrafters in their own right. Their blended voices will lift and transport you to heavenly places.
Sally is a remarkably accomplished musician, songwriter, storyteller, and educator whose discography includes fifteen recordings. She has received three Indie awards (National Association of Independent Record Distributors) and two Parent’s Choice Gold awards, plus other honors for her music. Noted for her command of guitar and mountain dulcimer, Sally also takes turns on a variety of instruments including banjo and harmonium.
Claudia is widely known as a singer/songwriter of folk and blues, an accomplished performer on 12-string guitar and mountain dulcimer, and a regular during the early years of Prairie Home Companion. Describing herself as a "creative noisemaker," she has released nineteen recordings (including 5 on the Red House label) and has appeared on the stages of numerous concert halls, small clubs, and folk festivals.
