Realized is a multi-media performance combining Halcyon's stop-motion animations with live string quartet music to imagine our collective future. With animated films and stories inspired by conversations with local students, Realized amplifies the voices of young people as they reflect on the present and imagine what a resilient, sustainable, and equitable future on this planet could look like fifty years from now.
The program will feature folk tunes and music by Caroline Shaw and Philip Glass. Realized is a creative, honest, and hopeful multimedia program exploring the potential we all have to enact meaningful change in our communities.

This is an unusual show for a venue more accustomed to hosting guitar-playing singer-songwriters than chamber music ensembles. But then Halcyon is an unusual chamber music ensemble. The doors of the chamber have been thrown wide open, and the fusion of this music with Halcyon's thought-provoking storylines and artful, imaginative stop-motion videos makes this performance unique and deeply engaging.
