Cormac McCarthy has been right under our noses all along. Hiding in plain sight, as it were.
This Cormac is not the novelist (author of All the Pretty Horses, Blood Meridian, etc). Although with his background in literature, his rural roots, and his knack for penning a great line you might draw some comparisons.
This Cormac is the kid who made his singing debut as a three-year-old on his father’s radio show on WKRC in Cincinnati, belting out “Davy Crockett.”
This Cormac has performed three times at the Newport Folk Festival and twice on NPR’s Mountain Stage.
This Cormac headlined at the Night of Humor and Songwriters and American Troubadours with Eric Andersen and Townes Van Zandt at Boston’s Somerville Theater.
This Cormac appeared at Boston’s WUMB Folk Radio 10th anniversary celebration, at Ben & Jerry’s One World, One Heart Festival, at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, and many more.
This Cormac was college roommates with the late, great Bill Morrissey, who inspired Cormac to "go public" with his music. I'm glad he did.
