How to sign in BBC account on my tv in UK?

The BBC iPlayer app is required to sign in on most TVs in UK. This is so that we can provide you with a unique experience and ensure that we have something for everyone.

All you'll need to sign up is:

  • A tv with the BBC iPlayer application installed

  • You may use your phone, tablet, or computer.

  • This is a BBC account.

To sign in on your TV, follow these steps in UK.

  • On your tv, use the BBC iPlayer app.

  • "Sign in" should be selected. This may be found in Settings or by going to the menu and choosing the "Sign in" item.

  • You'll find instructions and an eight-character code on a page.

  • Visit bbc.com/account/tv now on your phone, tablet, or computer.

  • You'll be prompted to log in to your BBC account if you haven't already done so on your phone, tablet, or computer. Do you have a BBC account but don't know how to create one? Instead of "Sign in," choose "Register."

  • You'll be prompted to input the eight-character code shown on your TV after you've checked in on your phone, tablet, or computer.

  • Enter the eight-character code shown on your television, then click "Confirm" and wait for your television to refresh. It will take roughly 10 seconds to complete this task.

  • When everything is finished, your TV will notify you. After that, you may put your phone, tablet, or computer down and start watching television.

What if the code isn't valid UK?

Here are some things to check:

  • Make that the code is being used by just one individual. It will not work if two or more persons attempt to use the same code.

  • Each code is one-of-a-kind and only valid for 60 minutes. If it has been on your TV screen for more than 60 minutes, click "Back" and then "Sign in" on your TV to acquire a new code.

  • The code should have a length of 8 characters. Make certain it isn't any longer or any shorter.

  • If you come across a notice that says "Something isn't functioning right now, so please bear with us.

  • Please come back later and try again "That we're experiencing technical difficulties. As a result, you'll have to try again later.

My email address isn't working right now in UK.

1. Make sure it's properly structured, with no errors or spaces.

2. Are you using the same email address as when you signed up for the BBC? It might be an old email you don't use anymore if it was a long time ago.

3. Were you under the age of 13 when you registered? If this is the case, you may have used a username rather than an email address while registering. Use your username to log in.

4. Your Facebook or Google+ account may have been used to register. Because we've altered our system and no longer support them, you'll need to change your BBC account to include your email address. To do so, follow these steps:

  • Click "Having difficulties signing in?" on the page where you sign in.

  • Select "I usually sign in using my Facebook or Google+ account."

  • To add your email address to your BBC account, follow the steps.

  • Then sign in using your email address the next time.

5. If you haven't used your account in over a year, we may have designated it as inactive or destroyed it in accordance with our privacy policies. Please check your mailbox to see if we've recently sent you any emails about this.
