Arin Ferris

Overview

Arin is a Pokemon trainer who decided to build her own daycare far off the coast of Hoenn. "Alterum Heights" specializes in legendary biology and learning how they breed. Her team is used to take care of the baby Pokemon more than for actual fights. Her prized Pokemon is her Mewtwo, Cypher. She is still accosted/hunted by Team Rocket who is trying to get Cypher back. And other teams who try to use her research to their own gain.

Friendly, caring, suspicious.

History

Way back when, Arin worked as a grunt for team rocket. She was just an everyday grunt when she was tasked with guarding a specific chamber in the organization and wasn't told exactly why. Arin was always really curious so she waits for when she's alone and goes into the chamber to see what's up. Inside is Cypher, chained down with mental inhibitors so he doesn't destroy everything like some of the other Mewtwos have. Arin gets the inhibitors turned off or taken off by accident and tries to see what's up with Cypher. She's kicked out by the scientists and chastised extremely heavily by Giovanni, but since the inhibitors are gone Cypher is slowly growing aware. He reaches out to her telepathically and the pair get to know each other before deciding they're both going to get out.

Once out they grow closer, but she technically can't keep Cypher without the proper badges because of his level and rarity. And the only way to keep him from being "master balled" by Team Rocket is to put him in his own Pokeball. So she takes the gym challenge with him by her side so they can get him safely tethered. After completing the challenge, she takes the prize money and uses it to open a daycare off the coast of Hoenn.
