The Guides are the inhabitants of the Tutorial. They love to tag along and show you around, though they do more following than leading.

The Florals are the inhabitants of the Plains. These flower people were captured by the Robo-Clan, and can't bear to watch the damage they are causing to their environment. If you can save them, they will follow along behind you, hoping you can save their home!

The Nimbuses are the inhabitants of the Sky. Once the Robo-Clan invaded, they were taken captive, and since then, the Robo-Clan has done nothing but pollute the air. If you can free them, they will follow you as you take back their home!

The Buisnessmen are the inhabitants of the City. Ever since the Robo-Clan invaded and took them captive, their home has been flooded with traffic, which has made the roads dangerous. If you can save them, they will follow along in hopes of getting their once-peaceful home back!

The Constructors are the inhabitants of the Construction zone. After the Robo-Clan took them captive,  the Robo-Clan then hijacked all of the construction equipment in an attempt to rebuild the town of Beanville. If you can save them, they will follow along as you take back the construction zone. While grateful for you, they don't want you to let them cause too much damage, because then it is their problem to deal with.

These creatures are the inhabitants of the Volcano area. As the Robo-Clan were invading the volcano to harness the energy of it's lava, they discovered a species of lava-blob creatures. Believing they could be a great source of power, they decided to capture these creatures. If you can save them, they will follow you around, happy to be able to swim around in the lava once more.

The Miners are the inhabitants of the Mine area. They were taken captive by the Robo-Clan when they invaded the mines in search of valuable resources. If you can save them, they will follow you around in hopes of finding those valuable materials before the Robo-Clan can.

The Conductors are the inhabitants of the Train. The Robo-Clan captured them so they couldn't interfere with there remote research on Shadow-Lifeforms. If you can save them, they will follow you around so they can hopefully regain control of their train.

The Astronauts are the inhabitants of the Space zone. When the Robo-Clan's Alien Division invaded space, the Astronauts were left stranded on different planets, with no clear way of leaving. If you can save them, they will follow you into the Alien Mothership in hopes of gathering data on them.

These robots have been captured by their own clan! If you can free them from their cages, they are sure to be loyal to you.

The Bombs are not friendly, and serve to guard the bases of the Robo-Clan. If a base is broken, they are released and will chase you down. You can only let it chase you for so long before it explodes, so try and get out as soon as you can!

Not much is known about The Shadows, but one thing is known: Let them catch up to you, and you're a goner. It is believed that the Robo-Clan were experimenting with these creatures in a base they set up on a captive train.
