An unknown alien race attacked them and Allen asked Battle Beast to help free Nolan. Battle Beast noted that he does not command him, but broke into the execution room with him.[4]. When an unnamed Viltrumite noted that a Viltrumite execution was sacred, Battle Beast was shocked by the statement. Battle Beast asked him to fight him because he knew of the Viltrumite's might. They battled until Allen punched a hole into the prison, quenching his thirst for battle. Battle Beast continued his battle with opponents, killing the Viltrumite in the process [5]

Battle Beast was discovered by a Coalition search party, frozen by the vacuum of space. However, he was still alive and joined the ranks of the Coalition of Planets, though denying he was assisting. He would occupy a planet for the Coalition with a couple of squadron members [6] Battle Beast would go on to keep helping the Coalition until he is needed for the final Viltrumite battle. Thaedus would give a brief speech and they head off into planet Viltrum. On their way over there they are ambushed by a Viltrumite woman. Battle Beast hits her in the face with his mace and the Viltrumtes arrive for battle. He continues to fight her using her body as a weapon to fight other Viltrumites. He would keep fighting even after Viltrum's destruction although only briefly unconscious. He wakes up and launches into to Thragg, only to be tossed aside [7]

After recovering from his injuries of the Viltrumite War, Battle Beast goes into an unknown planet. The leader realizes how wrong he is after Battle Beast had slaughtered his regime. He bisects the ruler's head and his personal guards attack him. He easily kills them and Space Racer arrives to the planet with Allen's request to accompany him back to Talescria. Before he leaves, he takes a woman of the alien race with him after she begged him. He arrives to Talescria, leaving the woman in the lobby of the Coalition headquarters. He arrives into Allen's office, irritated by not seeing any battle in it. Allen reassures that his time will not be wasted. Allen tells Battle Beast facts about Viltrumite physiology, citing that they can hold their breath, but need to find a habitable planet afterwards. Battle Beast is intrigued, asks him why Allen's telling him this. Allen then informs Battle Beast of Thragg's exile and sends on him a mission to kill him. Battle Beast sadistically smiles and accepts the mission [8].

While having rough sex with his newly found mate, Thresha, he is interrupted by Space Racer who has discovered Thragg's location. Eager to face Thragg, he arrives to the planet. The planet is later revealed to be Thraxa, the planet that was occupied by Omni-Man, shortly after his betrayal. Thragg arrives to Battle Beast's location, asking if the Coalition had sent Battle Beast to eliminate him. Thragg begins to mock Battle Beast for being able to defeat him easily.

Angered by the Thresha's betrayal, he begins to assist Thragg and kill the Ragnar. Thragg declaring him a fool for assisting him. Battle Beast states that he won't let them interfere with their battle. After, Thraxans show up to assist Thragg, but Thragg tells them to leave. Battle Beast, then goes on to say he won't accept an advantage and cuts his abdomen, disemboweling himself. Calling him crazy, he goes on to declare his duty as the Grand Regent, and mocks Battle Beast for treating this like a game. Battle Beast rebuffs him saying that this is his life. There, they charge into each other and battle with Thragg having the initial advantage until Battle Beast catches him off guard by biting him [9]

Thragg launches Battle Beast into the air, with Battle Beast biting him again. They continues their battle with Thragg striking Battle Beast and Battle Beast biting him again on his forearm [10] While Thragg is annoyed, Battle Beast is enjoying his battle [11]. Battle Beast and Thragg have been battling for days with no signs of who is winning [12]. After days of battling, Thragg successfully killed Battle Beast. Before Thragg crushes his heart, Battle Beast thanks Thragg for giving his dying wish, an opponent worthy of him fighting. His body would then be incinerated by the Thraxans in celebration. His hide would be removed and turn into a cape as a trophy for Thragg's victory over him [13]

Theres a couple of generally accepted variants like the Black Mole, Blue Tiger, etc and than theres a couple that might better be placed under the header of factory error like the unpainted teeth and the pink skinned ones. Than theres a whole discussion about the slight shade differences like for instance the purple, pink, magneta Killer Carp armor..... are these all variants indeed!? So its a topic thatll be impossible to solve since each and every collectors makes up his own reason for whether or not to judge or qualify a figure as a variant. Id say try to stick as close to the commonly accepted ones which are all clearly distinct enough from the original ones with other armor colors for instance and try to define your own position when it comes to all the others but be aware that the moment you start to accept slight color differences as variants youll probably find them within each and every figure out there so the numbers of these so called variants will be endless.

The Spanish, Bestias de Combate, one is indeed darker but it also has Green colored knee paths instead of the Yellowish one from the normal ones and I think H23454 is only talking about the skin color here. ALL of the Bestias de Combate are different figures from the normal ones because even those who are not distinct enough in color can be identified as BDC by looking at the marks left by the mold they used for them. It is all in the details... But its for sure that the BDC should never be misunderstood as variants because they are an own unique line of Battle Beasts that were only available in Spain.

First thing to note instantly is the way in which the Imaginext designers have paid attention to the details (color) of the armor which they mimic exactly. The armor color is almost spot on and the red details in the armor are clear where they come from as well. Due to the more translucent looking skin of the Imaginext Snake it does look very fresh like a 21st Century version but detail wise theres obviously no ground to compare both figures with each other because the design of the original Beast is way more sophisticated. This side by side picture clearly shows that the armor of the Imaginext Snake is really bulky and much more heavy looking compared to the highly detailed armor of the original Beast. Also the presence of the square on the Imaginext Snake aint very subtle and its of a strange proportion when youre familiar with the Battle Beasts. On the head and hands design theres a couple of things to say but this will be addressed individually later because theres something to say about these. It is clear that the hands are directly or indirectly inspired by the original figure.

Molded in brown plastic, the figure has the same hurdles to overcome that we saw on Hardtop Tortoise. The dark skin pokes through the light pink/peach armor, and if you play with it I assume it could get nasty fast. His eyes and claws are yellow, plus there are some red bits on his chest. The sculpting is quite good, similar to the rest of the line with simple armored skin and nifty techie armor bits. He's rubbery but sturdy, unlikely to topple over despite only have jointed arms. His center of gravity does him well. Also present is the famous heat-sensitive sticker which reveals a symbol for fire, wood, or water. Some (but not all) later figures had full-color illustrations while the earlier ones had "mood ring" colors that changed based on the level of heat. As you can see, Tanglin' Pangolin has wood.

A powerful member of his species, Battle Beast possesses powerful physical abilities, combined with his skills in mastering weapons. In combat, Beast usually employed both bladed and blunt weapons. Although the weapons that Beast wielded were pretty large. His endurance has been described to be unlimited, as he battled Thragg for days with his organs dangling but still keeps on fighting. His strength is also incredible, able to overpower several Viltrumites at once and held his own against Thragg, who is probably the strongest Viltrumite ever.
