As the design requirement, that must include architectural elements my batik design is inspired from pavement pattern. I took one part of the pavement as one block of the batik design based on the given scale: not exceed 20cmX20cm. The pattern in the block is inspired from glass element. In architecture, we use hatching technique in rendering. The repeated lines represent the hatching of glass surface. I arrange the pattern repeatedly into a shape.
The copper block shape is from three polygons that combined into one block. As mention earlier, the block pattern is inspired from the pavement pattern.
I suggested my batik design on clothes, skirt or scarf as it is suitable for everyday attire. The design can be change to various size depends on the type of clothes.
I believe that my design proposal meet the requirements of younger generations that love something that is simple and elegant and also at the same time it look aesthetic. With combination of right colour, the outcome would be fantastic.
