Our design is named “Webraeg”, the combination of spider web and gear. As our theme is “Aspirana Millennia”, “Aspirana” means having ambitions to achieve something and “Millennia” means a thousand years. In our understanding, we are here to explore the ambitious thing happening among the previous thousand years. To our knowledge, we would like to present the idea of the theme related to the invention of the Internet and the development of technology. The invention of the Internet came in the late 1960s.

In this case, we would like to use the spider web to represent the Internet that people tend to use nowadays. The Internet is surrounding the Earth like the spider web. Our design is to let people know the Internet is actually one of the wonderful things that people have created for our life and we should appreciate it. People these days use a lot of gadgets such as phones, tablets, and others to access the Internet. Internet indeed provides us much useful information and also gives us a lot of advantages. However, if we do not control ourselves, we will become addicted to it. People are starting to misuse them for their own good and slowly addicted to the Internet. This is how the prey falls into the trap that the spider sets up if they are not being careful. We should use them wisely for a good purpose such as helping people.

Besides that, we also combine the gears in our design as they represent the machine elements that we used in modern technology. Gear is the basic component that can be found in every machine. Imagine if there is not the gear, how can the cars, ships, clocks will develop into how they look like today. Our transportation will become difficult and people's lives might not systematic as there is no proper time management since the gear can be developed. The reason that we insert gears in our design is that gears have been used since the old days, without them, we wouldn't live a convenient and better life in this modern era full of all advanced technologies.
