Most things are digital these days. Whether you’ve got a physical gift card or an e-gift card, you can usually check the balance via the official website. You don’t need any login details. Just the gift card number.

4. Click “Check Balance.” The best part? It’s by far the quickest option, and it works for both physical and e-gift cards. You can check the balance after every purchase and see any other information about the card, e.g., the expiry date.
Can’t check online? That’s okay. You can always give the company a ring. Often, there’s a number on the back of the card you can call. Once you’ve called the number, you’ll generally find a set of automated instructions. It’ll ask you for the card number and/or PIN. Use your phone keypad to enter the number. The automated voice will then tell you your current balance. A good option if you need your balance quickly without going online.
The third and final option is to go in-store. Take your gift card to the till or a member of staff. Explain that you want to know your current balance, and they can check for you. If you’ve forgotten about the card, the PIN might be scratched off or unreadable. They’ll still be able to tell you your balance — pretty useful.
Depending on the type of card, you’ll find two numbers. The card number is found on the front of the card. The PIN is found on the back of the card in the scratch-off panel. Sometimes, both numbers are found on the back of the card. You may also notice a bar code on the back. This means you can still use the card even if some of the numbers are scratched off. But you’ll need to bring it into a store. You’ll find the information for an e-gift card on the original email. If it isn’t there, contact customer support for help.

If you know there’s money on the card, but it isn’t working, it’s best to contact Bath & Body Works customer support. Explain the situation, and they can help identify the problem.
