BatchDocs: Document Converter (“BatchDocs”, “the App”) is developed by Krepel Studio (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, processed, stored, and handled when you use BatchDocs.
By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
BatchDocs is an Android application designed for local document conversion and batch document processing.
The App supports document formats including DOCX, DOC, PDF, ODT, RTF, TXT, HTML, Markdown, EPUB, and FB2, subject to supported conversion routes.
BatchDocs is designed to process document contents locally on your device.
We do not operate a remote document-conversion server, and BatchDocs does not intentionally upload the contents of your documents to Krepel Studio servers.
BatchDocs accesses files and folders only when you explicitly select them using Android's system file or folder picker.
Depending on the action you choose, the App may receive permission to:
read selected documents;
read documents inside a selected folder;
create converted documents;
save results into a folder selected by you;
copy unsupported documents into another selected folder;
move unsupported documents by first copying them and, only after successful copying, attempting to remove the original file;
retain Android URI permissions for selected documents or folders where supported by the storage provider.
BatchDocs does not request unrestricted access to all files stored on your device.
File access is controlled through Android's Storage Access Framework and the permissions granted to the App by Android for the documents or folders you explicitly select.
Document conversion is performed locally on your device.
During processing, BatchDocs may temporarily access or create:
document contents;
embedded images;
temporary conversion files;
document metadata;
file names;
document format information;
URI references;
conversion job information;
processing progress;
temporary output files.
These resources are used only to perform the requested document operation.
Temporary conversion files and workspaces are removed when they are no longer required, where technically possible.
BatchDocs does not use the contents of your documents for advertising, profiling, analytics, or marketing.
BatchDocs supports long-running document operations that may continue after you leave the App, switch to another application, lock the screen, or close the conversion progress window.
When you explicitly start a document conversion, copy, or move operation, BatchDocs may use an Android foreground service to continue the operation in the background.
The foreground service is used only for user-initiated file-processing operations.
BatchDocs does not automatically start document conversion:
when the device starts;
after a reboot;
without user interaction;
through hidden background activity;
for marketing or tracking purposes.
Background processing is used only to complete the document or file operation that you requested.
For long-running document operations, BatchDocs uses the Android foreground service mechanism appropriate for local file processing.
While processing is active, the App may maintain information such as:
current file name;
number of processed files;
total number of files;
processing percentage;
source and target document format;
processing stage;
completed count;
failed count;
copied count;
cancellation status.
This information is used only to display processing progress and manage the active operation.
BatchDocs processes large batches sequentially where appropriate to reduce memory consumption and improve reliability.
BatchDocs may display notifications while document processing is active.
Notifications may show:
that document conversion is in progress;
processed and total file counts;
percentage completed;
the current file name;
processing status;
a progress bar;
a Cancel action;
completion status.
On Android versions that require notification permission, BatchDocs may request the POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission when notification functionality becomes relevant.
Notification permission is optional.
If you decline notification permission:
document conversion is not blocked;
background processing may continue as permitted by Android;
progress remains available inside the App.
BatchDocs does not use notifications for unsolicited marketing.
Android may impose operating-system limits on how long certain foreground services can run in the background.
If Android requires an active document-processing service to stop because of a system time limit or resource condition, BatchDocs may:
stop the active operation;
mark the operation as interrupted;
preserve successfully completed output files;
remove incomplete temporary output where possible;
save limited processing state so the App can explain what happened.
BatchDocs does not attempt to bypass Android background execution restrictions.
BatchDocs is designed to minimize memory usage during large document-processing operations.
The App may use:
buffered input and output streams;
temporary files;
sequential document processing;
temporary image assets;
downsampled images where appropriate;
controlled ZIP and XML processing.
BatchDocs does not intentionally load an entire large batch of documents into device memory at the same time.
Temporary resources, streams, document packages, images, and processing workspaces are released or removed when they are no longer required, where technically possible.
BatchDocs may store limited application information locally on your device, including:
selected application language;
theme preference;
Pro entitlement cache;
Free-version usage state;
whether the one-time free batch conversion has been used;
conversion job state;
conversion progress state;
file-processing metadata;
selected output information;
persisted Android URI permissions.
This information is used only to provide and maintain App functionality.
BatchDocs offers Free and Pro functionality.
The Free version may include:
one full batch conversion using supported formats;
subsequent single-file conversions subject to Free-version limitations;
advertising.
BatchDocs Pro may include:
unlimited batch conversions;
access to all supported output formats;
folder-based document selection;
removal of advertising;
Lifetime access through a one-time purchase.
Availability of a conversion route also depends on whether the selected source and output formats can be converted reliably.
The Free version of BatchDocs may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob.
Google and its advertising partners may process information associated with advertising, which may include:
IP address;
device identifiers;
advertising identifiers;
device and operating system information;
approximate location derived from network or device signals;
advertising interactions;
diagnostics;
information used for fraud prevention;
information used for ad measurement and delivery;
privacy and consent choices.
The exact information processed depends on factors such as your region, device settings, consent choices, and Google's advertising configuration.
Krepel Studio does not provide your document contents to AdMob for advertising purposes.
BatchDocs Pro is designed to remove advertising from the App.
BatchDocs uses the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) where applicable.
UMP may display consent or privacy forms depending on:
your region;
applicable privacy laws;
Google advertising requirements;
previously saved privacy choices.
Where required, BatchDocs may provide a Privacy options entry in Settings so you can review or update applicable advertising privacy choices.
Advertising is requested only when the applicable Google consent system indicates that ads may be requested.
BatchDocs offers an optional one-time BatchDocs Pro / Lifetime purchase using Google Play Billing.
Payments are processed by Google Play.
Krepel Studio does not receive or store your:
credit or debit card number;
bank account information;
Google account password;
full payment credentials.
The App receives only information necessary to determine purchase and entitlement status, such as:
whether the Pro product has been purchased;
purchase status;
acknowledgement status;
product information returned by Google Play.
The Pro entitlement may be locally cached for faster startup, but Google Play remains the primary source used to verify purchase ownership.
Krepel Studio does not operate its own backend analytics or document-processing server for BatchDocs.
We do not intentionally collect or store on our own servers:
your document contents;
converted document contents;
your selected file names;
your document metadata;
your file-processing history.
Third-party services such as Google AdMob, UMP, and Google Play Billing may process information independently according to their own privacy policies.
If you contact Krepel Studio by email, we may receive information you voluntarily provide, including:
your email address;
your name, if included;
the content of your message;
attachments you choose to send.
We use this information only as reasonably necessary to:
respond to your request;
provide support;
investigate technical problems;
communicate with you regarding your inquiry.
Please avoid sending confidential documents unless they are necessary for your support request.
Krepel Studio does not sell your personal information.
We do not intentionally share the contents of your documents with advertisers.
Information may be processed by third-party services required for specific App functionality, including:
Google AdMob — advertising;
Google User Messaging Platform — consent and privacy management;
Google Play Billing — purchases and entitlement verification;
Android system document providers — file and folder access selected by you.
If you select files stored in a third-party cloud service through Android's system file picker, that storage provider may independently process those files according to its own privacy policy.
Most document-processing information remains locally on your device.
Temporary processing files are removed when they are no longer required, where technically possible.
Application preferences and limited processing state may remain until:
replaced by newer information;
cleared through Android settings;
removed by Android;
removed when the App is uninstalled.
Successfully created documents remain in the destination folder chosen by you until you remove them.
Information processed by Google services is retained according to Google's own policies.
Emails sent directly to Krepel Studio may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide support, maintain records, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.
BatchDocs is designed to reduce unnecessary access to user information.
Security-related design measures include:
local document conversion;
Android Storage Access Framework;
user-controlled file and folder selection;
no unrestricted storage permission;
temporary file cleanup;
controlled memory usage;
sequential batch processing where appropriate;
protection against malformed document packages where supported;
restricted access to user-selected resources.
However, no software, device, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You should maintain backups of important documents before performing conversion, copy, or move operations.
When you choose to move unsupported files, BatchDocs attempts to protect against data loss.
The App first copies the file to the destination selected by you.
Only after the destination copy completes successfully does BatchDocs attempt to remove the original file.
Some storage providers may not permit deletion.
In such cases, the destination copy may remain while the original file is not removed.
You can control your information and permissions by:
selecting only the documents or folders you want BatchDocs to access;
declining notification permission;
changing your application language;
changing advertising privacy choices where available;
purchasing Pro to remove advertising;
clearing App data through Android settings;
removing previously granted file access where supported by Android;
uninstalling the App.
You can also manage advertising and Google account privacy settings through Google's services.
BatchDocs is a general productivity application and is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13.
Krepel Studio does not knowingly collect personal information from children through its own servers.
If you believe a child has sent personal information directly to us, please contact us so we can review the matter.
Google and other third-party service providers may process information on servers located in countries other than your own.
Such processing is governed by their privacy policies and applicable legal frameworks.
BatchDocs document conversion itself is performed locally on your device unless you independently select files hosted by a third-party cloud storage provider through Android's system file picker.
BatchDocs may use services provided by:
Google Play;
Google Play Billing;
Google AdMob;
Google User Messaging Platform;
Android operating system services;
user-selected Android document providers.
These third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
We encourage you to review Google's privacy documentation and the privacy policies of any storage provider you choose to use.
We may update this Privacy Policy when:
App functionality changes;
permissions change;
advertising or billing services change;
Android platform requirements change;
legal or Google Play requirements change.
The latest version will be published on the official BatchDocs Privacy Policy page.
The Last updated date at the top of this document identifies the latest revision.
