Privacy Policy — File Compressor: Smart Batch
Last updated: September 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how File Compressor: Smart Batch, also displayed as Batch Compress (“the app,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use the app on Android, iPhone, or iPad.
For privacy questions or requests, contact the app developer at diepquocphong@gmail.com.
1. Files and on-device processing
The app accesses files you select or authorize to provide storage analysis, file browsing, thumbnails, compression, PDF processing, optical character recognition (OCR), and related file-management features.
File contents, file names, thumbnails, extracted text, and storage statistics used by these features are processed on your device. We do not upload them to our servers or send them to AdMob or RevenueCat for advertising, purchase verification, or AI training.
The app may retain local file references, compression settings, job history, and output files so you can resume work and view results.
If you select a file from a cloud storage provider, that provider may download it to your device. If you share or export a file to another app or cloud service, the destination you choose receives it and handles it under its own privacy policy. Device photo synchronization and backups are also controlled by your device and provider settings.
2. Permissions
Permissions depend on your platform and the features you use:
Photos, videos, and audio: To display authorized media, generate previews, analyze sizes, and process files you select.
Documents and shared storage: To browse, analyze, compress, export, or delete files within the access you grant. On supported Android versions, optional All Files Access allows broader access to shared storage, including non-media files. It does not grant unrestricted access to other apps’ private data. On iOS, access remains limited to authorized Photos content and files or locations made available through system interfaces.
Android app usage access: When enabled, to identify infrequently used apps and provide storage recommendations. Available app names, usage times, and storage information are processed locally and are not sent to advertising or purchase services.
Notifications: To show compression progress, completion notices, storage alerts, and reminders you enable.
Background processing: To continue supported file-processing tasks and storage checks. Android may display an ongoing notification while a foreground task runs.
You can change permissions in your device settings. Refusing or revoking permission may limit the corresponding feature. Deletion or replacement of originals occurs only through actions you authorize.
3. Advertising and tracking choices
The free version uses Google AdMob. Depending on your device, consent choices, and SDK configuration, Google and its advertising partners may process IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP addresses, advertising or other device identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, app interaction information, crash reports, and performance diagnostics.
This information supports ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and service improvement. Google describes these practices in its Mobile Ads data disclosure and Privacy Policy.
Where required, the app presents advertising consent choices through Google’s consent platform. You can revisit available choices through the app’s advertising privacy settings.
On iOS, the app requests App Tracking Transparency permission when applicable. Declining tracking does not prevent you from using file-processing features. Less-personalized or limited ads may still involve data processing.
When Pro access is recognized, the app stops new ad requests. Buying Pro does not automatically delete information advertising providers previously received.
4. Purchases and RevenueCat
Pro is offered as a one-time purchase, not an automatically renewing subscription. The store purchase screen shows the applicable price and currency before you confirm.
Apple or Google processes payment. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
The app uses RevenueCat to verify purchases, restore access, manage Pro status, prevent fraud, and report purchase activity. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated app user identifier, purchase history, product identifiers, transaction or receipt information, and technical app, device, and store information needed for these services.
The app does not require a separate account and does not attach your name or email address to RevenueCat customer attributes. Purchase data is still associated with the SDK’s identifier; it should not be understood as completely anonymous.
See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy. Apple and Google also handle purchase information under their respective Apple Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy.
5. Support communications
If you email us, we receive your email address and any information you include, such as messages, screenshots, or purchase references. We use this information to respond, investigate problems, and handle privacy requests.
Please avoid sending passwords, payment-card numbers, or unrelated sensitive files. Our email provider also processes correspondence to deliver the support service.
6. Purposes and legal bases
We process information to provide requested features, maintain purchase access, respond to support requests, display permitted advertising, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our service agreement, consent where required, legal obligations, or legitimate interests such as security and support where these are not overridden by your rights. You may withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
7. Sharing and international processing
Information is disclosed to the providers described above for their respective services, to destinations you choose when sharing files, and where necessary to comply with lawful obligations or protect legal rights.
We do not sell your file contents, OCR text, or installed-app lists. Advertising-related disclosures may be treated as “sharing” or targeted advertising under certain privacy laws; applicable choices are available through consent controls and privacy requests.
Service providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Their privacy policies describe their processing locations and safeguards.
8. Retention and deletion
Local preferences, history, temporary data, and app-managed files remain on your device until removed through app features, system storage controls, or applicable app-removal behavior. Exported files and files in Photos, shared storage, or cloud services can remain after uninstalling the app and must be managed separately.
Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve your request, maintain relevant support records, and meet legal or dispute-resolution obligations.
Purchase records may be retained by RevenueCat, Apple, or Google to restore purchases, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Advertising providers retain information according to their own policies and applicable settings. We do not promise a single retention period for records controlled by these providers.
To request deletion of information associated with the app, email diepquocphong@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy / Data Deletion Request.” We may need a purchase reference or the app’s support identifier to locate the relevant record and verify your request. Do not send your store password.
Uninstalling the app does not automatically erase third-party records. Deleting data does not automatically refund a purchase, and some transaction records may need to be retained.
9. Your choices and rights
You can manage file access and notifications in device settings, adjust available advertising consent choices, manage tracking permission on iOS, and remove files or local app data.
Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain advertising-related sharing. You may contact us to exercise applicable rights or raise a concern with your local data-protection authority.
We will respond in accordance with applicable law and may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity.
10. Security
We limit file access to the permissions and actions you authorize. Integrated purchase and advertising services use encrypted network connections. However, no device, storage system, or transmission method can guarantee complete security.
You are responsible for choosing trusted sharing destinations and keeping backups of important files before deleting or replacing originals.
11. Children
The app is not designed specifically for children and does not ask users to provide children’s personal information. Purchases are subject to the store’s age and parental-approval rules.
If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when app features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will show a new “Last updated” date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
