I am a newly-joined Faculty in Physics, at the School of Arts and Science, Azim Premji University, Bengaluru. Previously, I held the DST-INSPIRE Faculty fellowship (granted by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India), in the group of Prof. Rajeev Kumar Jain at the Indian Institute of Science.
I specialise in the area of Cosmology, which attempts to understand the evolution of the Universe and how structures in the Universe came into being.
I finished my PhD in 2020 from the University of Geneva under the supervision of Prof. Ruth Durrer where we focussed on galaxy number counts and relativistic effects therein. You can read my thesis here.
I can now be found on the website of Azim Premji University (APU), where I am teaching the Common Curriculum course "World of Computing" and the Flexible Credits course "Quantitative Reasoning: Foundations" for the July 2025 semester.
I had the opportunity to give a short introductory lecture on gravitational waves for the Physics Teachers Training Programme held at APU in June-July 2025.
I was a speaker at the Pint of Science India inaugural edition in Bengaluru in May 2025.
