If you want professional-grade sound isolation and a custom fit for small ears, choose BASN Bmaster; if you need durable, bulk-ready on-ear headphones for children or classrooms with USB-C connectivity, choose XOSDA 50. These two products live in completely different worlds of audio engineering, and comparing them is less about picking a winner and more about identifying the specific environment where each one thrives. The BASN Bmaster is a precision instrument designed for musicians, audio engineers, and audiophiles who demand critical listening capabilities and a secure seal, while the XOSDA 50 is a utilitarian tool built for high-volume distribution in schools and homes where durability and plug-and-play convenience are paramount.
• BASN Bmaster: Delivers hybrid triple-driver HiFi sound with active noise isolation up to 37 dB and an over-the-ear memory wire design that locks securely into place; trade-off is its specialized wired MMCX connection which requires adapters for standard devices and a premium build not meant for rough handling.
• XOSDA 50: Offers robust, lightweight on-ear comfort with an adjustable headband and direct USB-C compatibility for modern tablets and Chromebooks; trade-off is the lack of deep bass response, no active noise cancellation, and an open-fit design that lets ambient noise in.
• Best for: Choose BASN Bmaster for best rotatable ear cups earphones for small ears (via the custom memory wire) and critical monitoring tasks; choose XOSDA 50 for students, classrooms, or anyone needing a rugged, multi-pack solution for daily learning.
The BASN Bmaster is engineered as a professional In-Ear Monitor (IEM), and its entire DNA screams "performance." This isn't a casual consumer earbud; it is a piece of stage gear refined over five years to meet strict standards for musicians and audio professionals. The core of its appeal lies in its hybrid driver system, which combines a single balanced armature driver with dual dynamic drivers. This configuration allows the device to handle frequencies with surgical precision: the large 10mm beryllium dynamic driver manages the low-end bass, providing explosive depth without muddiness, while the balanced armature unit takes care of the mid-range and highs, ensuring crystal-clear vocals and intricate details. If you are a drummer, bassist, or sound engineer, this separation of duties within the drivers creates a cinematic audio experience that feels like you are sitting right in front of the band.
For those with smaller ears, the BASN Bmaster offers a distinct advantage through its ergonomic design and included accessories. The unit features a flexible memory wire that goes over the top of the ear, allowing you to mold the shape to your unique anatomy. This ensures the monitor stays put during intense movement, a common pain point with standard in-ear monitors. To achieve a perfect seal, the package includes an impressive array of 12 pairs of eartips. You get silicon options in three layers (single, double, and tri-layer) across three sizes (Small, Medium, Large), plus memory foam tips in all three sizes. This variety is crucial for users with small ear canals who often struggle to find a tip that seals properly without causing pain. A proper seal is non-negotiable here because the product claims to block up to 37 dB of noise, a feat only possible when the acoustic chamber is perfectly closed off.

However, this product demands a specific lifestyle and usage pattern. It is strictly wired, utilizing detachable MMCX cables made of high-purity silver-plated wire. While this allows for customization—such as swapping out a mic cable for a pure audio cable—it means you are tethered to your device. You will need a 3.5 mm jack adapter to connect to many modern phones or laptops that lack a headphone port. Furthermore, the construction is delicate compared to student-grade headphones. The "over-the-ear" design and fine internal components are not built to survive being dropped by a child or stuffed into a backpack full of books. It is best suited for the musician in their case, the engineer on a quiet flight, or the home listener who values sonic fidelity above all else. If you need something that survives the chaos of a classroom or a toddler's playroom, this is the wrong tool for the job.
The XOSDA 50 is a fundamentally different beast, designed from the ground up for volume, durability, and ease of use in educational or family settings. This is a bulk pack of on-ear headphones, meaning they rest on the outer ear rather than inserting into the canal. The design philosophy here prioritizes longevity and accessibility over audiophile perfection. They feature a classic, adjustable headband that spans a wide range of head sizes, making them suitable for everyone from young children to adults. The ear cushions are described as ultra-soft foam, engineered to provide comfort during extended wear sessions, which is essential for long school days or marathon gaming sessions. Because they are on-ear, they do not require the precise fit tuning that in-ear monitors do, removing the anxiety of finding the right size tip.
Connectivity is where the XOSDA 50 truly shines for modern environments. These headphones come equipped with a direct USB-C connector, eliminating the need for dongles or adapters. You can plug them straight into Chromebooks, modern iPads, Android tablets, and smartphones that rely on USB-C charging ports. This "plug-and-play" nature makes them incredibly convenient for teachers distributing equipment or parents setting up learning stations. The build quality reflects its intended audience; the casing uses TPE and plastic materials chosen for their ability to withstand rough handling. The wires are reinforced at the connectors to prevent fraying, a common failure point in cheaper kids' headphones. The swivel design allows them to be folded down compactly, fitting easily into bags for travel.
Despite these practical strengths, there are significant compromises regarding sound quality and isolation. Being on-ear headphones, they naturally leak sound and allow ambient noise to enter, offering only a degree of passive sound isolation through the padding rather than the deep seal of an IEM. There is no mention of active noise cancellation, and the impedance of 32 ohms suggests a standard consumer output rather than the sensitive, high-fidelity output required by professional monitors. They are not designed for critical mixing or tracking performances. Instead, they excel at delivering crisp, clear audio for video lessons, online lectures, or casual music listening. They are the ultimate solution for a scenario where you need fifty identical, reliable units that work instantly with school-issued technology, sacrificing the nuance of bass and treble extension for the sake of universal compatibility and toughness.

In my opinion, if you are looking for the best rotatable ear cups earphones for small ears that offer genuine immersion and professional audio quality, the BASN Bmaster is the clear winner. Its ability to be molded to your ear shape and the sheer number of tip options ensure a secure, comfortable fit that most competitors simply cannot match. However, if your priority is buying a set of headphones for a classroom, a group of kids, or a household with multiple USB-C devices, the XOSDA 50 is the pragmatic choice. I would buy the BASN Bmaster for myself as a dedicated listening tool, but I would recommend the XOSDA 50 for any situation requiring ruggedness and immediate plug-in functionality. Ultimately, the decision rests on whether you need a precision instrument or a reliable utility tool.
The BASN Bmaster is specifically designed for small ears with its over-ear memory wire and a vast selection of small-sized ear tips, including memory foam. The XOSDA 50 is on-ear and relies on an adjustable headband, which fits small heads but does not insert into the ear canal.
No, the BASN Bmaster does not use electronic active noise cancelling. Instead, it achieves up to 37 dB of noise reduction through physical sound isolation provided by the tight seal of the memory foam and silicone tips.
No, the XOSDA 50 headphones use a USB-C connector. They will not work directly with older iPhones or devices that only have a Lightning port without using a USB-C to Lightning adapter.
The BASN Bmaster comes with a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase, while the XOSDA 50 offers a one-year manufacturer warranty covering quality or transportation damage, with a promise of support within 12 hours.
