If you want professional-grade in-ear monitoring with deep, cinematic bass and a custom-fit seal for loud environments, choose BASN Bmaster; if you need massive over-ear comfort, active noise cancellation, and all-day battery life for travel or casual listening, choose FOFUN NC95.
These two headphones occupy completely different worlds of audio engineering. One is a specialized tool for musicians and audiophiles who demand isolation and detail, while the other is a modern wireless powerhouse designed for commuters and travelers who prioritize silence and convenience. There is no middle ground here; picking the wrong one means you are either fighting to keep earbuds in your ears or carrying a heavy pair of cans that offer zero protection from stage noise.
• BASN Bmaster: Delivers exceptional sound isolation (up to 37 dB) and a hybrid triple-driver setup for rich bass, but requires wired connectivity and careful fitment to stay secure. Best for musicians and listeners seeking a true "in-ear" experience on a tight budget.
• FOFUN NC95: Offers impressive active noise cancellation and a massive 65-hour playtime with Bluetooth 6.0, but features a bulky over-ear design that may feel heavy for extended wear. Best for big heads needing space and users prioritizing long-distance travel.
• The Verdict: If you have a larger head circumference and struggle with small earbuds slipping out, the FOFUN NC95 provides the necessary room and stability, whereas the BASN Bmaster is better suited for those who prefer a discreet, locked-in monitor fit.
The BASN Bmaster is built around the philosophy of the professional in-ear monitor (IEM). It uses a hybrid driver configuration featuring dual dynamic drivers and a single balanced armature unit. This combination is engineered to reproduce the full spectrum of audio with a specific focus on low-end depth. The 10-millimeter dynamic diaphragms are tuned to deliver what the manufacturer describes as a "cinematic" experience, ensuring that the bass doesn't muddy the mids or highs. This makes it an ideal choice for drummers, singers, or anyone who needs to hear every nuance of their instrument without external interference.

The physical design relies heavily on memory foam ear tips to create a seal. This seal is not just about comfort; it is the primary mechanism for blocking up to 37 decibels of ambient noise. Because the earbuds sit directly inside the ear canal, they require a precise fit to function correctly. The package includes twelve pairs of eartips in various sizes, which is crucial for achieving that seal. If you cannot get a perfect fit, the isolation drops significantly, and the bass response will feel thin. This product is designed for adults who are willing to spend time finding the right tip size to ensure the earbuds stay in place during movement.
However, this form factor has limitations. The BASN Bmaster is strictly a wired device using a 3.5 mm jack. It comes with two detachable cables—one standard silver-plated cable and one with a microphone for phone calls. While the MMCX connectors allow for future customization, you are tethered to your source device. Furthermore, the ergonomic shape, while rounded, is small and sits deep in the ear. For individuals with larger ear canals or those who find deep insertion uncomfortable, this model might cause fatigue over long periods. It is a high-performance tool, but it demands that you accept the constraints of a wired, in-ear system to get its full benefit.
The FOFUN NC95 takes a completely different approach by offering a circumaural, over-ear design. With 40-millimeter planar magnetic drivers, this headset focuses on delivering a wide soundstage and high-resolution audio without requiring the user to insert anything into the ear canal. The enclosure combines plastic and stainless steel, creating a sturdy build that supports the weight of the large drivers and the internal electronics needed for active noise cancellation. The ear cups are designed to wrap around the ears rather than sit inside them, which naturally accommodates a wider range of head sizes and eliminates the pressure points often associated with deep-fitting earbuds.
This is where the "big head" advantage becomes most apparent. Over-ear designs generally distribute weight across the top of the head and the ear cups, rather than relying on friction inside the ear canal. For users who find smaller earbuds constantly falling out or causing pain due to their anatomy, the FOFUN NC95 offers a spacious alternative. The ability to adjust the headband ensures a secure fit without the need for constant repositioning. Additionally, the inclusion of Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation allows users to block out low-frequency droning sounds like airplane engines or traffic, which is far more effective for general commuting than passive isolation alone.
Battery life is another defining feature of this product. With a claimed average playtime of 65 hours, the FOFUN NC95 removes the anxiety of charging. This is complemented by Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, which offers a stable wireless range of up to 15 meters and supports low-latency transmission. The control scheme is handled via buttons on the ear cup and a companion app, allowing for adjustments to the noise cancellation modes and transparency settings. It is designed for the person who wants to disconnect from the world, whether they are working in a noisy office, traveling long-haul, or simply enjoying music without wires tangling. However, the 0.58 kg weight is significant compared to lighter in-ears, and the bulkiness means it is not a discreet option for everyday use outside of home or travel.
• Best for Battery Life → FOFUN NC95: With 65 hours of playback on a single charge, it vastly outlasts any wired solution that relies on your phone's battery.
• Best for Sound Isolation → BASN Bmaster: The 37 dB passive noise reduction from the memory foam seal blocks high-frequency distractions better than most active systems.
• Best for Big Heads/Comfort → FOFUN NC95: The over-ear design avoids the discomfort of deep ear canal insertion and offers a more forgiving fit for larger head circumferences.
• Best for Audio Detail/Bass → BASN Bmaster: The triple-driver hybrid setup with dual dynamic drivers offers a more focused, "in-the-room" feeling for critical listening.
• Best for Mobility/Wireless Freedom → FOFUN NC95: Bluetooth 6.0 allows you to move freely without being tethered to a device, unlike the wired BASN Bmaster.
• Best for Stage Performance → BASN Bmaster: The IEM form factor keeps cables out of the way and prevents feedback issues common with open-back over-ear headphones.
• Best Value for Long-Term Use → FOFUN NC95: The rechargeable battery and durable build make it a practical daily driver for years of commuting.
• Best for Customization → BASN Bmaster: The MMCX connector system allows you to swap cables or upgrade components in the future.
In my opinion, if you are specifically looking for the best wireless sports earbuds for a big head, the FOFUN NC95 is the clear winner because the over-ear design solves the fundamental fit issue that plagues most in-ear monitors. The spacious ear cups prevent the "tunnel vision" sensation of small buds and provide a secure anchor point that won't slip out during movement. While the BASN Bmaster offers incredible audio fidelity for the price, its reliance on a perfect seal inside the ear canal makes it a risky purchase for someone with a larger head or sensitive ear canals. The FOFUN NC95 delivers a robust, comfortable, and powerful listening experience that accommodates real-world anatomy without compromise.
Yes, the FOFUN NC95 is explicitly designed with an adjustable over-ear frame that accommodates larger head circumstances comfortably, whereas the BASN Bmaster requires a specific fit inside the ear canal that may be difficult for some.
The FOFUN NC95 wins decisively with up to 65 hours of playtime on a single charge, while the BASN Bmaster is a wired device with no internal battery and relies entirely on your connected source.
They can stay in securely if you achieve the correct seal with the included memory foam tips, but they lack the active stability of an over-ear design and are primarily intended for stationary monitoring or light movement.
At 0.58 kg, it is heavier than most in-ear options, but the over-ear design distributes the weight evenly, making it suitable for long flights or work sessions where comfort is prioritized over portability.
