Bas Kortenbach

I am a PhD candidate in philosophy at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, under the supervision of Mario Piazza. 

Previously, I studied logic at the University of Amsterdam.

I do research on logic, philosophy of language, and philosophy of mathematics, broadly construed. 

My PhD project concerns the logic of metainferences (inferences between inferences). I am especially interested in foundational and methodological questions within metainferential logic.

 I have also worked on bi- and multilateral logic, supervalautionism, non-classical approaches to the semantic paradoxes, inferentialism, and the philosophy of set theory.
