Electrostar embodies perfect clockwork and harmony in the universe. Electrostar’s body contains dark blue shapes representing space, silver lines representing the paths of the electrons, and light blue glow representing the electron cloud that gives illusion of form to matter, subdividing the mostly empty atomic space that matter consists of.
Above: I worked with Tabare Gawon as Electrostar, setting this series at the Rose Kennedy Greenway in Boston. Electrostar's ideal environment intersects with two concepts: Time and Space. Here structured space is suggested through the city architecture , and the nautical setting where skilled navigation is critical.
Above: Shawn Pauling as Electrostar. These photographs were taken at and during the Figment 2011 festival, at the Rose Kennedy Greenway. Time and Space are both signified through the rather unusual juxtapositions of metal sculpture and large stones, and certain inclusions in the background architecture.
