Welcome!
This is Bashir Ahammed, a passionate researcher and Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at the World University of Bangladesh.
I hold M.Sc. Engg. and B.Sc. Engg. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from the University of Chittagong, graduating with top academic honors. My research bridges fundamental electromagnetic theory with emerging technologies, focusing on Wireless Communications, 5G/6G Systems, THz Antenna Technology, Metamaterials (AMCs), and Artificial Intelligence in Microwave Imaging.
Alongside my academic journey, I worked as a Research Assistant in the Micro and Nano Device Research Group under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdul Alim, contributing to advanced research activities in electromagnetic devices and antenna technologies.
I was also awarded the prestigious ICT Division Research Fellowship from the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, for my postgraduate research work.
I serve as an active reviewer for the Journal of Electrical Systems and Information Technology (Springer Nature, ISSN: 2314-7172), contributing to the peer-review process in electrical engineering, information technology, and related interdisciplinary research fields.
Additionally, I gained industrial experience through my internship at Bangladesh Satellite Company Ltd. (BSCL), further strengthening my understanding of practical communication technologies.
