Bar Light

I am an Assistant Professor (Presidential Young Professor) in the Department of Analytics and Operations at the National University of Singapore's Business School, and Affiliated Faculty at the Institute of Operations Research and Analytics

Before joining NUS, I was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics and Operations Research at Tel Aviv University's School of Mathematics from 2023 to 2024. Prior to that, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Microsoft Research NYC. I obtained a PhD in Operations Research from Stanford University under the supervision of Gabriel Weintraub and Ramesh Johari, and an MSc in Operations Research from Tel Aviv University's School of Mathematics under the supervision of Ehud Lehrer.

My research topics include market design and multi-agent learning in the context of online marketplaces, analysis of large dynamic economies, dynamic optimization and systems, and risk management.

I have developed and taught courses on analytics and data science for online marketplaces at the BBA, MSBA, and PhD levels. I also teach dynamic optimization at the PhD level.

Here are my lecture notes on dynamic optimization.
