DosePath helps people taking GLP-1 medications stay organized and feel more in control of their health. We built DosePath to keep your data private: your health entries stay on your device and within your own iCloud account. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your choices. It is provided by Barış Ataman Akçıl, an individual developer (the "Service Provider," "we," "us").
DosePath is an iOS application. No account or sign-in is required. The health information you enter is stored on your device and synced across your own devices through your personal iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit). We do not host a copy of your health entries on our servers.
Health data: Information you enter or import into the app, such as injections, side effects, weight, and nutrition (calories, protein, water).
Anonymous usage analytics: Non-health, app-interaction data designed not to be linked back to your identity, used to understand how the app is used and improve it.
If you choose to track your health in DosePath, the app stores the information you enter, such as:
GLP-1 injection records (date, site, dose, time)
Side effects and wellness notes
Weight, calories, protein, and water intake
This data is stored on your device and synced across your own devices through your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. It stays within your private iCloud database; we do not transmit or store your health entries on our servers, and we cannot see them.
DosePath can integrate with Apple Health only if you enable it and grant permission. When enabled:
We read the following from Apple Health to display alongside your tracking: your weight (body mass), nutrition (dietary calories, protein, and water), and your height. During first-time setup, with your permission, we may also read your date of birth to set up your profile.
We write the weight and nutrition (calories, protein, water) entries you log in DosePath back to Apple Health, so your data stays consistent across apps. These entries appear under "DosePath" as the source in the Health app.
All Apple Health data is processed on your device and is not sent to our servers. DosePath requests only the Apple Health access needed for these features. You can grant or revoke Apple Health access at any time in the iOS Settings or Health app, and you can turn the integration off in the app's settings.
We use Mixpanel to collect anonymous, non-health usage data so we can understand how the app is used and improve it. This is tied to a randomly generated identifier stored on your device, not to your name, email, or Apple ID.
Examples of what may be collected: onboarding and paywall interactions, navigation and feature usage, and basic app context such as app version and OS version.
We do not send your health entries (injections, dosage, side effects, weight, nutrition, or notes) or any Apple Health data to Mixpanel. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, Apple ID, advertising identifier (IDFA), or precise location. Analytics data is encrypted in transit.
DosePath offers an optional subscription ("DosePath Pro"). Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store, and we use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We do not receive your payment card details. RevenueCat processes subscription status and related purchase metadata (for example, whether your subscription is active) so the app can unlock premium features and support troubleshooting.
Our service providers (Mixpanel, RevenueCat) may process limited technical information as part of delivering their services, such as device type, OS version, app version, and network metadata. An IP address may be processed transiently by these providers for security and routing; we do not store your IP address as part of the anonymous usage analytics described above.
We share data only with service providers that help us run DosePath, and only so they can provide their service to us:
Apple — App distribution, Apple Health (on your device), iCloud sync of your data within your own account, and subscription billing.
RevenueCat — Subscription management.
Mixpanel — Anonymous, non-health usage analytics.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data for targeted advertising. We do not share your health data or Apple Health data with analytics providers.
Health entries: Kept on your device and in your iCloud account until you delete them in the app (which removes them from all your synced devices) or delete the app. Data written to Apple Health remains in Apple Health until you remove it there.
Anonymous usage analytics: Kept only as long as reasonably necessary for product improvement and reliability.
Subscription metadata: Retained by RevenueCat/Apple as needed to manage your subscription.
Because your health entries are stored on your device and your own iCloud account, you control them directly: you can view, edit, export, or delete them in the app, or remove all data using the app's "Manage My Data" option, which deletes your data from iCloud and all your synced devices. You can turn off Apple Health access at any time in iOS Settings, and remove any data DosePath wrote to Apple Health from within the Health app.
Our usage analytics is designed to be anonymous and is not maintained in a way that is intended to be linked back to a specific person, so we may not be able to locate or delete specific historical analytics records for an individual. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your information. To make a request, email us at the address below.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including on-device storage for health data, your private iCloud account for sync, and encryption in transit for analytics and subscription data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and improve our safeguards over time.
DosePath is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your area). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Barış Ataman Akçıl, an individual developer based in Türkiye, is responsible for your information under this Privacy Policy. Our service providers (such as Mixpanel and RevenueCat) may process limited data in the United States or other locations. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the latest version on this page and update the "Last Updated" date above.
