Litters

5th Litter: Bunny x Bruno - July 22

Bunny

Breeding doe

Bunny is from my friend Kristians Kritters in NY! "KKs White Rabbit" Sweet little Dumbo. We have no idea what her genetic color is but her soft fur and temperament are well worth the mystery. She was bread by Kristians Kritters Still growing her first breeding is planned for October.

Bruno

Breeding buck

Matt's grandson and Stormys son, Bruno is a beloved boy. He genuianly seems to just have compounded the teddy bear-like personality of his grandfather and father into the sweetest rat we've ever had. His coat is also perfect and even thicker than his grandpa! We expect him to pass on that great coat and dumbo ears to his babies. His first litter is planned to be in June.

4th Litter: Cheshire x Hugo - April 22

Hugo

Black Self, Top Eared (dumbo carrier) Rex

Breeding Buck

Almost an entirely self black rex, Matt's son Hugo has amazing conformation and he knows it. His attitude is palpable and he's the first to dive for food. This chubmonster will add some good diversity to our lines

Cheshire

Black Berkshire, Dumbo, Smooth Coat

Breeding doe

Cheshire is from Jaberwalk Reptiles and Exotics. Cheshire had her first litter for us (By Matt) February of 2022 and is an AMAZING mother. Top-notch girl all around we love her very much. She Is a big girl clocking in at around 380 grams before pregnancy.

These two really surprised us even tho they shouldn't have! We ended up with 10 pups (finaly a smaller litter). 4 girls and 6 boys. Only 4 Rex and only two Dumbo! We had Blue, Black, and Beige and Chesh revealed she had the genetics for lovely blazes! Mom did wonderfully, but this was definitely gonna be her last litter! She gets a well-deserved retirement. Out of all the boys she had we knew we wanted to keep one but didn't know which one... there were a lot of great choices but we ended up picking Jake, Dumbo Rex Beige Wedge Blaze, and we adore him. He is an absolute teadybear and will make a great dad one day.

3rd Litter: Mathew x Cheshire - Feb 22

Matt

Himilayan (Siamese and Albino), Dumbo Rex

Matt is our founder buck! This is his last litter as hes starting to get up there in age, we wanted one more out of him while we still felt he would be up for it. He is a teadybear of a boy, preferring pets and snuggles over treats and leash and potty trained. Tho hes my ESA his favorite person in the world is my partner, and he will go running towards him during out time.

Chesh

Black Berkshire, Dumbo, Smooth Coat

Cheshire is a classic doe, full of energy and obsessed with being pampered, She's an experienced doe and will be a great mother to this gaggle of Matt fluffballs. Were very excited to have her pups in the house. She's a classic rat, with a sweet temperament and surprising levels of courage and confidence. This girl screams classy. And she tolerates her young cage mate with a mother's hand. mostly using her as a pillow or playing with her.

We know the basics of Matts genetics him being Himalayan blue career but we have no Idea about Cheshire. We know shes dumbo and we know she's berkshire and we know she's black but she will be a fun wildcard to have for coats. Her health and temperament are solid tho so the coat stuff is just fun.

We know they will possibly have:

Black

Siamese Carriers

Albino Carriers

Rex

Smooth Coat

All pups from this litter will be Dumbo as both parents are Dumbo. We love Dumbo here.

This litter is scheduled to be Due early February but may take longer depending on Mathews fecundancy. They will be up for adoption 2 weeks after birth until 5 weeks old, and able to go home at 7 weeks.

  • round two.. lets hope matt gets his head in the game.

-1/23/22- Cheshi was paired with Matt last heat (the 10th) and we decided to forgo weighing her this time. Why? I got sick, not covid but chest cold and was not getting much sleep so I decided to forgo the stress of dragging her out for weighing for the both of us. Weve really bonded over the last couple weeks and shes super high energy and friendly. Shes always been a wider doe but Im thinking I might be seeing a bit of a bump!

- 1/28/22 - Cheshi had been not gaining we thought so we thought the breeding had failed. Then all of a sudden the 26 she became orange shaped! From barely looking pregnant to super pregnant looking! I checked my calendar and her due date is February First! Were very excited.

BEANS BORN - Febuary 1st 2022!

Never had a doe deliver on her due date! Mom and beans doing great. Count is at 14!

2nd Litter: Stormy x Harley - Jan 22

Stormy

Blue Berkshire (Red Eye Carrier) Top Eared (Dumbo Carrier), Rex

Stormy is the son of Matt and Alice, and a doll. Easy to handle and plenty friendly he will be a great buck to match to the sugar sweet Harley.

Harley

Black Self (Red eye carrier), Top Eared (Dumbo Carrier), Rex

Harley is the Daughter of Matt and Alice, and one of the sweetest friends you will ever have. Her parents adore her and were gracious enough to send her and her sister Ivy back to me to breed Harley to Stormy for a litter.

With Harley and Stormy's help I hope to answer some genetic questions about their father Mathew, whose coat is soft as clouds unlike his rex children who have great volume and wave but not the feather softness of there father.

They both carry Blue, Dumbo, Rex, and carry either Siamese or Albino from there father. Meaning this litter could end up:

Dumbo or top eared

Rex, Double Rex, or smooth Coated

Blue, Black, Albino, Siamese, or Himalayan

The Litter is scheduled for birth in January and adoption in February.

Third Trimester Update! - January 9th, 2022

She is progressing swimmingly and getting very big! Her sister Ivy is obsessed with taking care of her and were starting to see the long stretched out naps we expect at this point in the pregnancy. Her nipples are showing more and shes' nesting so we're crossing our fingers for a quick and easy delivery soon!

BEANS ARE BORN!

After staying up overnight with mom for three nights (as I like to do with new moms to make sure everything goes smoothly) on day 23 at 2 pm I got up to check on her and she was sitting on Three beans! Still in labor, I kept a close eye and gave her words of encouragement! We thought she was done at ELEVEN beans and gave her time to rest and bond before weighing. At six I came back to do the health check and weighing and found FOUR MORE BEANS. She had 15 beans just like her mama!

After 24 hours on the second weigh we had 14 (there was one bean who was straggling and passed in the night as expected) beans who TRIPPLED in weight.

As I type this mom is doing great and beans are squeaky and full of milk. Grandpa Matt is tucked right next to me without a clue that he is now officially an in-house grandpa!

The cute couple on Date night!

1st Litter: Matt x Alice - June 21

The little gremlins that started it all! Born June 20th 2021 these fathers day babies of Mathew (Rex Dumbo Himalayan blue carrier) were a blast and started the program. I still have 3 of the boys born in this huge litter. Mom Alice (Blue Variegated Top Eared) had no problems delivering her 15 beans, 14 of whom made it to adulthood. 7 girls 7 boys, this fifty fifty split litter had so much energy and need for food supplemental feeding started at 3 weeks (earlier for the runt of the litter). Still with me are Stormy (Blue Rex top Eared Berkshire), Hugo (Black Rex Top Eared Self) , and the runt himself Runty (Blue poor stripe top eared). Two pups went to Kentucky and two stayed right in Massachusetts with one girl Harley (Black rex top eared self) coming back to us December 2021 to be breed for a litter to Stormy (due January 2021)

These pups were named after greek gods but boy did I throw that out the window. We ended up with Stormy (Formerly Hermes) , Runty (Never got another nickname), and Hugo (formerly Hadies)
