This Privacy Policy applies to the BarBeamScan application (hereinafter referred to as the “Application”) for mobile devices, created by the Service Provider. The Application is provided as a professional tool for scanning, creating, and managing QR codes and barcodes, and is offered on an “AS IS” basis.

The Application collects certain information when you download and use it. This information may include, but is not limited to:

• Your device’s Internet Protocol address (e.g., IP address)

• Details of the screens you visit within the Application, including the time, date, and duration of visits

• Information regarding the operating system used on your mobile device

• Information you voluntarily provide, such as saved QR codes, created codes, export preferences, or notes you attach to scanned items, which are necessary for the Application to perform its core functions

Please note that the Application does not collect precise location data from your mobile device.

The Service Provider may use the information you provide to deliver important information (such as reminders, premium subscription notices, or updates), required notices, and promotional materials. Any personally identifiable information you provide will be retained and used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Access

Aggregated and anonymized usage data may be periodically transmitted to external services (such as analytics providers) to help improve the Application. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties only as described in this Privacy Policy.

Additionally, the Application may use third-party services (such as payment processors for in-app purchases, analytics SDKs, or subscription management tools) that have their own privacy policies regarding data handling. The Service Provider may disclose user-provided and automatically collected information:

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all information collection by uninstalling the Application from your mobile device. Use the standard uninstall process provided by your operating system or app marketplace. You can also delete saved codes and data you created directly within the Application.

Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider will retain user-provided data (such as saved scans or created QR codes) for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable period thereafter to allow account reactivation or to comply with legal obligations.

Automatically collected information may be retained for up to 24 months and thereafter stored in an aggregated and anonymized form.

Children

The Application is not intended for children under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. Should it come to our attention that a child under 13 has provided personal information, that data will be promptly deleted. Parents or guardians who believe that their child has provided personal information are encouraged to contact the Service Provider immediately at mary@stingroses.com.

Security

The Service Provider is committed to protecting your information. We use physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to secure the data we process and maintain. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized employees and contractors who need it to operate, develop, or improve the Application.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy here and, where applicable, by email or in-app notification. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy regularly, as continued use of the Application is deemed acceptance of all changes.

By using the Application, you consent to the processing of your information as described in this Privacy Policy, now and as amended in the future. “Processing” means any operation performed on information, including collecting, storing, using, combining, or disclosing it.
