I am Assistant Professor at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management, Koblenz, Germany. I am a Research Fellow at TRR266, ZEW, Skatteforsk, and the International Tax Observatory.

I studied Business Administration with a focus on Taxation at the University of Mannheim and Philosophy & Economics at the University of Bayreuth. In 2021, I completed my PhD at the University of Mannheim.

Research
My interdisciplinary research at the intersection of Business and Economics examines how taxes shape the decisions of firms and individuals in a globalized economy. Cross-border mobility of capital and people constrains countries' ability to tax and creates opportunities for tax evasion and avoidance — prompting governments to respond with far-reaching countermeasures. Whether these measures achieve their goals is the central question of my work: I evaluate the intended and unintended consequences of anti-tax avoidance and evasion measures.
