Hello! I am a third year physics PhD student at the University of Washington. I am broadly interested in galaxy formation and evolution.
I have done clustering analysis on young, starforming galaxies in the "high redshift" universe (z = 2.4 - 4.5) to see how properties such as galaxy bias and dark matter halo mass evolve over time.Â
Currently, Iam focused on galaxies that are much closer (z < 0.05) that are exhibiting atypical "outside-in" growth and is using high resolution spectra to isolate wind contribution to emission in an effort to characterize what processes are driving their non-standard growth.
When I am not pondering the universe I can be found coaching Union Bay Rowing Club on lake Washington, training for a marathon, painting, or serenading my cacti with clumsy guitar riffs.
