When requested, a windows.Window contains an array of tabs.Tab objects. You mustdeclare the "tabs" permission in your manifest if you need access to the url, pendingUrl, title, or favIconUrl properties of tabs.Tab. For example:

For example, say an extension creates a few tabs or windows from a single HTML file, and that theHTML file contains a call to tabs.query(). The current window is the window that contains thepage that made the call, no matter what the topmost window is.

If true, the windows.Window object has a tabs property that contains a list of the tabs.Tab objects. The Tab objects only contain the url, pendingUrl, title, and favIconUrl properties if the extension's manifest file includes the "tabs" permission.

The ID of the window. Window IDs are unique within a browser session. In some circumstances a window may not be assigned an ID property; for example, when querying windows using the sessions API, in which case a session ID may be present.

The offset of the window from the left edge of the screen in pixels. In some circumstances a window may not be assigned a left property; for example, when querying closed windows from the sessions API.

Fired when the currently focused window changes. Returns chrome.windows.WINDOW_ID_NONE if all Chrome windows have lost focus. Note: On some Linux window managers, WINDOW_ID_NONE is always sent immediately preceding a switch from one Chrome window to another.

Uptodown is a multi-platform app store specialized in Android. Our goal is to provide free and open access to a large catalog of apps without restrictions, while providing a legal distribution platform accessible from any browser, and also through its official native app.

After this date, the extension will no longer receive security updates, non-security updates, bug fixes, or technical support. The Microsoft 365 browser extension will also be removed from Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome web stores as an extension add-on.

I have about 10 windows of Chrome open with a total of about 80 tabs. I'm going to buy a new computer, and I want to open all the windows with the same tabs on the new computer. Is it possible to do it and how? I can sync Chrome to my Google account and then sync it again from the new computer, but how do I open again all windows and tabs?

On your new device, open chrome and open the history (CTRL+H on windows). On the left-side there is an option for Tabs from other devices and clicking on it should shows your old device and a list of all the tabs open on it.

Note: In windows 10, you will be redirected to Default apps under your computer's Settings. Please scroll down to Web browser and Select Google Chrome. If promted, Click on OK else just close the settings tab and return to your command or anaconda prompt and type jupyter notebook as usual. A new jupyter notebook tab should open in Google Chrome now.

In the windows when we open jupyter notebook in command prompt we can see the instructions in first 10 lines in that there is one instruction- "to open notebook, open this file in browser file://C:/Users/{username}/appdata/roaming/jupyetr/runtime/nbserver-xywz-open.html " , open this html with browser of your choice.

in a command shell (or Powershell with the appropriate command), Jupyter [Lab] afterwards started by using the MS Edge browser, just as wanted. Any other browser can be used by providing the path to it via setting BROWSER. I've adjusted my batch file accordingly so I can now use Jupyter Lab.

It's at the "Pin Extension" stage that things get stuck. It shows you graphically how to pin the extension to the chrome extensions bar but there is no way out of this setup page once you've pinned the extension as suggested.

Yes, looks like issue is not nailed properly with a concrete solution. Just I would like to share the Cookie settings that I have on my Personal Chrome browser. Similar settings are seen on my Office laptop as well.

While you should clear your web browser's cache, cookies, and history periodically in order to prevent or resolve performance problems, you may wish to record some of your saved information first. If you are unable to do so, see Troubleshooting alternatives below.

If you don't see instructions below for your specific version or browser, search your browser's Help menu for "clear cache". If you're unsure what browser version you're using, from the Help menu or your browser's menu, select About [browser name]. In Firefox, if you don't see the menu bar, press Alt.

If you need to clear your cache, cookies, and history for troubleshooting purposes, but aren't yet prepared to lose the content listed above, you may wish to consider using a private browsing window in your preferred browser as a temporary solution:

The steps to clear your cache, cookies, and history may differ depending on the model of your Android device and your preferred browser, but you should be able to clear your cache and data from your application management settings menu:

After installing updates to Windows (KB5021234, KB5021090, KB5021954, and KB5021955) on 13 Dec 2022, my flows that use the Launch Chrome action started failing with the error, [Failed to assume control of Chrome (Communication with browser failed. Try reloading extension)]. And, not surprising, the same error is thrown with the Launch Edge action.

Have you tried to re-activate the extension in a browser and keep this window open while you click Run from PAD. Yeah, then you'll have two windows open and you can't do unattended, but as a workaround it might be ok.

While we update to the new version flows are behaving very bad.

We have report download flow it. flow run fine but we are calling another flow in this flow, which is upload file flow to upload file in sharepoint through chrome is failing. But if we run the upload file flow directly it run fine.

So, I change the upload file flow and set all activities to Edge. Then I run report download flow and when it goes to upload file flow its open chrome but as I said before, I set changes with Edge its open chrome.

Firstly it knocked out my WiFi adapter, then once I'd recovered that (a 2 day job), I noticed that PAD gives the 'Communication with browser failed. Tried reloading extension' error when used with Edge and Firefox.

@waynewalls any luck for you? Same thing here. I've spent hours and hours creating flows that I had just gotten dialed in, then sometime around the 2nd week of December the browser connection stopped working:

At that point, browser windows should no longer open with the green border. Depending upon your version of Microsoft Windows and of the web browser(s), it is possible the web browser(s) may need to be restarted.

The reason they have stated this happens is so that you know secure browser is working as if you did not see it, you wouldn't know that it wasn't. I'll suggest this in the feature suggestion bit as a lot are bringing it up

That's correct. It's an indicator that the browser is secured and you can safely perform transactions, hence it's displayed for a short while at least. Without the green border it would be similar to not seeing the padlock icon and https in the address bar when visiting bank websites.

I can get it to appear on the bottom of my Treehouse Workplace, but not my browser window. Chrome also always throws up crazy-looking errors not connected to a line; yes, I could ignore this. But, I'd like to get my Chrome browser window looking a lot more like the Treehouse tutorial. Thank you for suggestions. I'm using up-to-date Chrome for Mac version 73.0.3683.75

Just sat down at my computer after a few days and all of my chrome browser windows are huge and stretched across my screen. How do I get them back to normal? I tried going to settings and return to default but as expected, that just changed my theme. My window is at 100% but I think it's always on 100%, isn't it?

If you are rolling out the extension to all your monitored Windows 10/11 devices, you should remove Google Chrome from the unallowed app and unallowed browser lists. For more information, see Unallowed browsers. If you are only rolling it out to a few devices, you can leave Chrome on the unallowed browser or unallowed app lists. The extension will bypass the restrictions of both lists for those computers where it is installed.

The sound on my computer works. The sound on other browsers work as well. The only place the sound does not work is Chrome. This has happened once before but I was able to resolve it. This time, nothing seems to be working.

My point is until Google, Android, Apple and Microsoft and on and on get it together (it's Googles bad on this.) Edge or Firefox or any one of the hundreds of search engine and browsers come to an agreement in their settings if I want to hear the sound.

This is probably due to the shortcut you use for launching Jupyter redirecting to Jupyter Lab or something of such, you can check on how to stop the redirection here: python - How to set jupyter notebook to open on browser automatically - Stack Overflow

Most web browsers include a feature to block pop-up windows. While this may eliminate unwanted or bothersome pop-up windows, the feature sometimes can impede the functionality of legitimate or useful websites.

Some popular Penn-affiliated websites requiring pop-ups include U@Penn and the Penn Online Directory.
