Baldur 39;s Gate 3 Nexus

My second issue may not belong on the Vortex Forums but I thought I'd add it anyway to conjunction with the former issue. After encountering the issues above I decided to attempt to download the mods and add them to Vortex manually. For some reason some mods (usually the same mods experiencing the issues above) wouldn't download and the browser would time out. I then receive a message saying "Site can't be reached" with one of two messages below it. Firstly the most common is "files.nexus-cdn.com took too long to respond." and the second is supporter-files.nexus-cdn.com took too long to respond. I will put screenshots below, due to these two errors the only way I can download any mods is if my friend sends me the files he manually downloaded.

I do use the Opera browser and have tried using Firefox and Google Chrome as well.

Because I am boomer levels of bad at understanding technology. It's a marvel I can play this game on pc at all. I also understand that I could, and should, probably ask this question on the nexus site/subreddit/forums, but this is a rather specific focus. So, I hope this doesn't break any rules or anything, mods.

I've a Mac version of Baldur's Gate 3 so I'm interested in downloading and installing mods on that machine. I understand that the files which BG3 uses are machine independent so should work on an Apple Silicon Mac as well as a PC platform.

I"ve found this online guide which is most helpful for manually patching the BG3 files.. But what I am unable to do is download URL's with the prefix nxn: which I assume is Nexus. Can somebody tell me how I download them without nexus?

As far as I can tell, bink2w64 does not exist anywhere in the BG3 files. If you navigate to Users/'YourUserNameHere'/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Baldurs Gate 3, right click on the app and Show Package Contents and navigate to Contents, there's no bin directory. There's no trace of any of the libraries that need to be replaced for the Native Mod Loader or the Achievements Enabler, unfortunately. Our best bet is to contact that author of those 2 mods and request they either give details instructions for Mac users or wait for a version that supports Mac.
