This young dog is showing a great beginning to the Stand for Examination exercise. The handler has his left hand in a good position, ready for what?........
His right hand is almost in the right position. What would you advise for a perfect location?
This handler's right hand is in a very good position. There is a point above which her hand should never go in this exercise. What is that point?
Note the leash. What would she do with the leash before rewarding the dog? When would she tighten the leash - ie, what would the dog have to do to make that happen?
What potential problem might this handler be causing?
The author (back when you had to hold onto the leash), getting a score of 30/30 in the exercise. A certain amount of movement by the dog's feet is allowed, but costs points.
