About me:
My research focuses on digging into the simple question "Why" while observing oceanographic and atmospheric events. Most of the time, It makes me revolve to unlock the coupling between air and sea (air-sea interaction). Generally, I am interested in studying the ocean and atmosphere's variability and how they interact in the extra-tropics of the Southern Hemisphere over a time span of a few years and decades. For this purpose, I used to analyze observations and then numerical modeling experiments to verify and quantify.
My background includes doctoral studies in large-scale physical oceanography at both the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and APL, JAMSTEC. During my studies, I focused on exploring the Sea Surface Temperature variability and large-scale circulation of the subtropical Southern Hemisphere using observational data, Satellite products, Reanalysis products, and Numerical Modeling.
Currently, I'm studying Atlantic Multidecadal variability and its teleconnections at the Met Dept., University of Reading.
