Baiyu Zhou

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Economics at the University of California, Davis. I am on the job market during the 2023-2024 academic year. 

I am an applied microeconomist specializing in labor economics and economics of education. My research agenda mostly centers around education policies and student outcomes. My job market paper examines the effects of school starting age on human capital accumulation.

I am affiliated with the California Education Lab and the Center for Poverty and Inequality Research at UC Davis.
