In the event of lost, delayed or severely damaged checked baggage, passengers will not be able to claim JetBlue baggage unless:

Passengers must notify or request a JetBlue baggage claim and receive a JetBlue lost baggage status number no later than four hours after flight arrival. Passengers must submit a JetBlue lost/delayed baggage report receipt to the airline no later than 21 days after the event leading up to the JetBlue baggage claim.

In case of lost baggage at JetBlue, passengers must file a claim within 30 days from the date of the incident.

Conclusion

If the booking is canceled at least two hours before scheduled departure, the JetBlue baggage fee will be refunded to the original form of payment. If you board the trip but do not check in baggage, JetBlue Airlines baggage fees are non-refundable.

Only checked baggage replenished at the airport or within 24 hours prior to scheduled flight departure will be subject to JetBlue baggage fees.
