I couldn't find any information on this plane. It likely served with the USAF before being loaned to the RCAF.

On March 15, 1951, 17523 was taking off from Resolute with a crosswind. The aircraft started to swing to the side. The pilot told the engineer to "Pull it off" and rotated, but the engineer misunderstood the order and closed the throttle. The aircraft crashed, but there were no injuries to the 3 people on board.

The wreckage was not salvaged and is still there.
