Crashed in 2004, fully consumed by sand in 2016. Best visible in 2009 imagery.
The 32nd Grumman Albatross rolled off the line for the USAF in 1950, with the registration 49-074. In 1958, it was transferred to the Brazilian Air Force. It had a long life with them, being retired in 1980. It was sold to a private owner and re-registered PP-ZAS in 1991. Became N97HU in 1994 and was restored for airshows. It was sold in 2004 as XB-JHH, where it crashed later that year.
XB-JHH made an emergency landing under unknown circumstances on August 10, 2004. It was apparently being chased by Mexican authorities while smuggling drugs. One crew member died and two survived.
The wreck wasn't salvaged, and slowly sank under the sand. It was fully consumed around 2016, and sits under the sand today.
