This An-30 was built in 1978 and delivered to Aeroflot as CCCP-30001. It was abandoned with the fall of the Soviet Union. It sat with Aeroflot colors and an RA painted over a fading CCCP registration until it was bought by Geodynamika in 2002. It then served with Aviacompany Grodno (2011-2019) and Abakan Air (2019-2021) until it finally was bought by NPP Mir.
RA-30001 departed Yakutsk on June 22, 2022 en route to the Russian town of Olyenok. Mid flight, the aircraft suffered a double engine failure, possibly due to fuel exhaustion. The pilot attempted an emergency landing and succeeded, with all 7 on board surviving the crash.
The aircraft was too remote to salvage, so the wreck is still there.
