On October 19, 1944, 7U+OM was making a cargo flight from Banak to Kirkenes when it was shot down by a Soviet Petlyakov Pe-3.
The crew members of 7U+OM destroyed the wreck of the plane because it was too badly damaged, and presumably to prevent anything important falling into enemy hands.
