As many of the UGA students know, finding a study room in the Miller Learning Center can be a real hassle. Many study rooms are occupied by single people or by groups of friends who are just hanging out. In addition, there is no easy way to locate study rooms, at the moment you simply have to walk around looking into each room hoping to find one. Our application aims to provide a solution to these problems. We will do this by providing two separate services, a reservation system for selected rooms within the MLC, and a system to track the number of first-come first-serve rooms which are available on each floor. Both of these systems will be integrated into a single web application which will be accessible from the University of Georgia app. This application must be easy to use and friendly for both desktop and mobile users and must feature an interactive interface that allows users to quickly and easily see what rooms are not occupied. In addition, there needs to be an accurate way to monitor which rooms are occupied and which ones are not.
