The Bay Area Community of Mindful Living (BACML) was established in 2012 in Bay City, Michigan by a small group interested in doing mindfulness meditation. From the beginning the group has followed the teachings of Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh and the Plum Village tradition.

We meet at Unity Spiritual Center of Bay City on State Street Road in Bay City. every Wednesday night at 6:30 for tea followed at 7:00pm for mindfulness practice.

BACML is a lay practice group - We have no trained clergy/monks etc. We are not formally associated with any church or religious organization other than our intentions to follow the Buddhist path of Thich Nhat Hanh and Plum Village.

All are welcome at our meetings. We strive to be accepting of different practices and beliefs. Our basic practice is "to always arrive in the here and now" - a practice which is compatible with all spiritual paths.

We honor the truth in other compassionate and loving spiritual paths while remaining committed to the Plum Village Tradition path.

OUR NEXT MEETING:

Dear Sangha,

We will gather on Wednesday November 20, at Unity Spiritual Center of Bay City to support each other in our mindfulness practice.  Practice begins at 7:00p.m.

May we look forward to being mindfully together.

Our practice is always to come home to the here and now.

I have arrived, I am home

In the here and in the now

I am solid, I am free

In the ultimate I dwell
