Our host Jode Millman, along with co-producer Patrick Watson and audio engineer Benjamin Harris, draws back the curtain and invites you backstage at the Bardavon 1869 Opera House in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. and UPAC in Kingston, N.Y. for intimate conversations with musicians and performers appearing at the historic venues.

“For more than 150 years, such notables as Mark Twain, Frank Sinatra, James Earl Jones, Mary Tyler Moore, Santana, Aretha Franklin, Tom Jones and John Legend have graced the Bardavon’s stages,” said Mike Harris, the podcast’s co-host. “We hope to capture that rich artistic history in our program. In each segment we’ll highlight not only the artist’s appearance but their deeper, personal connection to the Hudson Valley.”

Episodes features theater and film producer and director, and current Executive Director of the Bardavon 1869 Opera House, Chris Silva. Episodes feature Danny Lewis, Dar Williams, singer songwriter, Floriana Frassetto, Creative Director of Mummenschanz, Mary Stuart Masterson, Film and Television Actress, Director and Producer, and Randall Fleischer, Conductor and Musical Director for the Hudson Valley Philharmonic plus many others profiled on our Guests page.
