1. Information We Do Not Collect (100% On-Device Processing)
We highly value your privacy. We do not require account creation, and we do not collect, store, or transmit your personal photos to our own servers. All background removal and facial/subject segmentation is performed entirely offline on your device using Google ML Kit and MediaPipe. This means your original photos never leave your phone during the processing phase.
2. Permissions We Use
Photos/Media (Storage): Used to let you select an image from your gallery and to save your finished, edited masterpiece back to your device. We only access the specific file you choose.
Internet Access: Used to fetch premium stock background images (via Pixabay) and to display region-compliant ads.
3. Third-Party AI & Cloud Services
The App uses the following third-party services to function:
Google ML Kit & MediaPipe (Local/On-device): Perform subject tracking, background segmentation, and masking locally on your device. No biometric or facial data is extracted for identification, sent to servers, or shared with third parties.
Pixabay API: When you search for custom backgrounds inside the App, your search query and IP address are sent to Pixabay's servers to retrieve matching images safely. Pixabay’s privacy policy: https://pixabay.com/service/terms/
4. Data Storage
Edited images are saved directly to your device's local gallery using Android's MediaStore. We do not retain, intercept, or backup a copy of these images on any remote server.
5. Advertising & EU/US Consent Management
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. To respect your privacy laws (like GDPR & US State laws), we use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). If you are in a regulated region, you will be shown a consent form allowing you to choose how your data is handled for personalized ads. AdMob may collect your Advertising ID to serve relevant ads in accordance with their policies: https://policies.google.com/privacy
6. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or 16 in certain EU countries). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
