What is Babytor?

Babytor mobile application is designed to help parents and caregivers keep a close watch on their baby or child remotely using their IOS devices such as iPhones, iPads and Macbooks without any additional equipment. Babytor allows you to monitor your baby’s activities and ensure their safety and well-being from another location - even when you’re away from the city!

How does Babytor work?

You should download Babytor to two of your IOS devices. Once you install Babytor, the app utilizes your IOS devices’ camera and microphone to provide a real-time video and audio feed of your baby’s location. You can access this feed from the second IOS device, enabling you to see and hear your baby wherever you are. 

Connection and Pairing

What is a baby station and a parent station?

Baby station is the device you choose to place near to your baby or child. Parent station is the device you choose to monitor your baby. We recommend positioning the baby station device in a way that offers a clear view of your baby’s crib and making sure that baby station device is plugged into the power source or use it while the device is charging for extended periods.

How can I pair two devices?

Make sure both your IOS devices are online and the latest version of Babytor is installed. Click ‘Parent Station’ on one of your devices to display the code and click ‘Baby Station’ on the other device to enter the code that you have on the ‘Parent Station’ device. Once you have entered the code to the Baby Station’ device, accept the pairing request on the ‘Parent Station’ device and the two devices will be paired.

What to do if I still cannot see my baby unit online?

Check your router and internet connection. Check your microphone and camera permissions are given. Make sure both devices are online. Make sure both devices use the latest version of Babytor. Make sure to close all your background programs to release free resources of your device. The app can just be stuck so try to close/kill Babytor app by swipe out and start it again. If the issue is network stability related just reboot your router and check for the internet connection. If it's not stable, switch both units to 3G, 4G, 5G or LTE.

Why does the App return to the homepage after entering the code?

You may have entered the code on the parent station incorrect. Please check the code on the parent station.

How can I troubleshoot video or audio quality issues with Babytor?

If you encounter video or audio quality problems, try restarting the app, checking your internet connection and ensuring that your IOS device’s camera lens and microphone are clean and unobstructed.

Can I use Babytor as a parent station while my device is locked or in sleep mode?

Babytor allows you to continue monitoring even when your device is locked or when you are in another app on your device. However, make sure to adjust your device’s settings to allow the app to run in the background. 

Is there a time limit for using Babytor in a single session?

You can use Babytor without a time limit in a single session. Just make sure that your internet works properly and that the baby station device is plugged into the power source or use it while the device is charging for extended periods.

Is Babytor secure and private?

Yes, the app is designed with security and privacy in mind. It uses end-to-end encryption to protect the video and audio feeds from unauthorized access. 

Does Babytor work over the internet or only on a local Wi-Fi network?

Babytor both works on local Wi-Fi and internet. This allows you to monitor your baby whether you’re at home or away, as long as you have an internet connection that works properly. 

Is it safe to use Babytor for long periods, such as overnight monitoring?

Babytor is designed for extended use, but it's advisable to take breaks to allow your iOS device to cool down if it becomes warm to the touch. Also, ensure your device is fully charged or plugged in for overnight monitoring. 

How can I ensure the App’s alerts and notifications do not disturb my baby’s sleep?

We recommend you to customize your notification settings (including sound levels). Please adjust these settings to prevent loud alerts that might disturb your baby’s sleep.
